Default Powerslot front rotors for srt6

we have been asking for them for some time now and now powerslot has agreed to make us slotted brake rotors

we have used powerslots on our srt4 and were very happy with them and they will surely be going onto our srt6 along with hawk hps pads.

the fronts would be a 3-4 week lead time, they say 2-3 weeks but i know how that goes, lol.

rears would be a longer wait as they are waiting on blanks for them before they can begin production if they even do, its dependent on how the front srt6 rotors sell basically.

we were not comfortable running/selling the no name rotors availabe on ebay for the srt6 to date. powerslot is a reputable company and we are glad they are on board.

is there enough interest to do a group buy on front powerslots or front powerslots and front hawk pads? we should be able to package price them quite well, could even include the goodridge ss brake line kit if wanted.

let me know your thoughts and if this should come to life.

I used powerslot rotors and hawk pads on my last car, those rotors had 70,000 miles on them when I sold the car and they still looked/worked perfect. They are very high quality and $130 a rotor is not bad at all.

Sounds good...would possibly be interested. For me all depends on the install difficulty.

Correct me if I'm wrong Rob, but these would be direct replacements for the stock SRT6 rotor, right?

yes i agree 100%, we loved them and were a great value.

yes they would be direct replacements, i'd recommend installing new pads at the time but its a normal brake job so no tricky stuff. if your not familair with doing brake jobs please have a qualified tech do the install, you dont want to botch up a brake job or you will be in trouble

Count me in if you do a group buy for a complete package. I was looking at the R1 concept rotors and Hawk hps pads to go with the SRT calipers that I'm getting for my NA but now will wait to see if you come out with something new.
Have you considered offering an NA upgrade? its all in the numbers

The slotted and drilled rotors look best in my opinion. Is there a reason they are only slotted?

Rob,
Is PowerSlot different than PowerDisk? I have PowerDisk slotted rotors on all four corners of the Aero with Goodridge SS lines. I like them very much.

The shop that machined my OEM Rotors (granted they were new) - offers rotors that have are drilled, slotted and zinc coated (silver or black) for only $180 for both front rotors and $139 for both rear rotors for the SRT6 if that's what your looking for. And shipping is free with lifetime warranty.

They will slot, dimple and zinc plate your rotors (if they are in good shape) - not sure if they would cross drill them but you could call and ask.

i was just wondering as the slotted rotors are more suited to autocrossing or roadracing as opposed to mostly street driving applications. i would be interested in drilled rotors for the cooling abilities but have no real need for slotted rotors

drilling your rotors makes them prone to cracking under hard braking i believe.. that's why most high-end rotors are slotted and/or DIMPLED, not drilled. correct me if i'm wrong but this is what i've come conclusion to

i agree, we have seen many cracked drilled rotors over the years. for that reason we went slotted and have never looked back. the rotors are designed for abuse, they are performance rotors. that doesnt mean they will not work well on the street though, they are an upgrade (and cheaper then stock replacements).

looks like were getting a decent list started. id like to get at least 10 sets togather for the first order. let me see what we can do pricewise if we can get up to 20 sets and we can do a group buy...

I have Disc Italia rotors, I would say they are High end, and are drilled and slotted. I spent 800 bills for all four. I hope their good..

rotors are here, well this set is going out tomorrow but i had time to open them up and zap a picture. picture only taken of the rear stoptech/powerslot rotor but we have access to both front and rear sets in either slotted, drilled or drilled and slotted. slotted only is my recomendation. we can also have these cryotreated, im checking on availability and pricing for that.

Product Category Listing

picture is of rear rotors, i have the same image for the front but that will be replaced once i get a front rotor picture. should i put together a package deal of rotors and hawk hps pads all together?

One set is coming to me along with a BBK! I intend to take lots of pictures during the instal. If I remember, I'll also weigh all the components for reference.

Tnanks Rob,

Les
