Default 3.5L EcoBoost V-6 Twin Turbo

This new engine looks pretty awesome - thank goodness they arent putting in in anything lightweight, yet! I wouldnt mess with a Ford Focus with one of these babies in it

I just saw an add for the Taurus SHO on TV the other night. V6 engine with V8 power was the line.

I can't believe they brought back the Taurus SLO.........I mean SHO. At least it looks decent and has some actual power this time....................and there's ALWAYS lots of extra potential when a car is factory boosted.

The engine was first seen in the Lincoln MK-R concept car in 2007 with a claimed 400hp. The production versions first examples will have about 340hp. Engineers have said that 400hp is an easy output for the engine but the existing transmissions in the FWD/AWD architecture cant deal with that power. Obviouslty if and when the engine comes to the Mustang, power output could be more.

They are going to have an ecoboost 4 cyl as well. 2.0 liter with "at least" 230 hp and 240 lb·ft. That's better hp and almost the same torque as the 4.0 v6 in the current mustang.
