I'd be tempted to go for these.

Calipers as oem on SLK32 are two piston on the back of the caliper that pulls the front on to the disc.(two piston sliding). I think they are the same calipers as w208 clk55 (the first one) as this was also based on the Mercedes C Platform and running gear.

Really? I thought these were priced pretty well considering they have 8 pistons. Stoptechs are anywhere from 1900-2800 and I think those are only 4 pots.

well this is all rather interesting...
Krazy,
can you answer the question about the transmission?
On yours, if in manual mode, does it upshift for you at redline, or does it wait for you?

if i have my car in manual mode with the traction control turned off and redline at 6100 rpm the engine the trans will upshift for me whether i want it to or not. if its in auto the shifts occur much sooner than the redline.

It is not that they are priced bad...just too much for me. I have been looking at a used set of front and rear C32 AMG calipers and rotors for $800. The C32 is a 345mm rotor, ours is a 330mm. Plus the C32 is a 4 & 2 piston.

edit: Sorry, I didnt mean to hijack your thread. Back on topic.

OK, so the conclusion is that they are the same.

I believe the SLK55 has 18s so the calipers should fit fine on the x-fire. Lots of C32s have upgraded to them (along with upgrading to 18s), too.
