Hi Everyone,

I just got my SRT6 not too long ago. Today when i was driving in the city, i notice a rattling sound coming from the rear suspention everything i go up/down a ramp or driving over bigger cracks on the road.
It sounds like somthing is rolling in the trunk. Does anyone have any experiences with this. Please help.

It's most likely the latch for your rear hatch. There is a TSB out to fix it or you can do it yourself. Just wrap some black electrical tape around the catch on your latch and it's fixed. The problem is very common.



Gez, do I sound like a Dr. Seuss in Seussville or what? The hatch with the latch needs a catch.

Anotherwords, take it to the dealer and they'll fix it for free (after a couple of days ). They replace the latch catch with one that is rubber coated. Or, you can save yourself the trouble and wrap a couple layers of electrical tape around it and problem solved.

My car had the same thing, 2 weeks at the dealer and 54 miles dealer racing miles later, we found it was the rear hatch.

 

Thanks guys for all your help. The problem had been fixed. it is the back hatch. I just took a electric type and fixed it myself. It's that easy, like what you guys told me. Thanks alot =)
