Proud new owner of the srt6!
Hi guys! I posted on here a while back asking for everones opinion on my idea to sell my s2000 and get a xfire limited six speed. After a while of thinking things through, I just recently purchased an 05 srt6. I wish it came in manual but i just could not resist the excessive power . Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and express my new love for the car!
After doing some research ive decided to change/modify the following parts on the car soon:
1. Steering Stabilizer
2. HID bulbs
3. Side markers
4. Exhaust
I had a couple questions as well;
1. I'm about to purchase the maximum care warranty. What are your experiences with this warranty and is it worth it?
2. I also did a lot of searching for a proper yet cheap solution to getting a stronger exhaust note out of the back end. I'm looking for something with no drone, no rasp, but just a more noticable tone than stock. From what I read it seemed like removing the muffler while keeping the resonator seemed to be the trick. Any ideas? let me know
I'd appreciate any feedback to my previous questions..thanks!!
HERE ARE SOME PICS!

Nice Score!
If you don't plan on any major engine / suspension mods, I agree that the Maxicare 7/70 is a great insurance policy.
With the current auto industry situation - I would think you could get a great deal on a zero deductible 7/70 extended warranty.
BTW - pictures formatted to 800X600 fit well on this forum.
Enjoy that bad boy!

Congrats on your new SRT6. So how do you compare the 2 thus far when it comes to performance? I'm sure the S2000 handles better but you have to love the torque that you now have compared to the no torque Honda. 2 completely different animals indeed. I just hope you don't miss the topless driving.

Actually I prefer the srt6 for everyday performance. When it comes to the twisties the S is more favorable not necessarily faster. Top down driving is very fun agreed. Thankfully my brother has a newer s2000 and said he is willing to trade cars whenever I please.

Congrats on the SRT...
Buy, on the extended...
Remove resonator for sound. It's almost a guarantee you'll love it's sound. Even if you have it done it shouldn't cost you over $120.00 and you will gain some power. I am sure you will get all kinds of opinions as, "get the Magnaflo" or "get this or that" all at a far greater cost. I feel you should always start simple. Owning an SRT is more than a game of follow the leader. Unless the leader's right of course.
Where are you located?
Enjoy...

Hi guys thanks for all the responses,
I was wondering where I could go to get the resonator removed here in Orange County, California. I was also wondering if removing the resonator would prohibit me from attaining the extended warranty. I think I'm going to opt for the warranty with more mileage, most probably the 7y 85 or 100k. I drive a little more than average and the car already has 47k miles on it.
