Default Baby got new shoes...!

Finally got some new pictures up. Yes camera phone so the quality is not that great.

Ending up spending $470 more than I expected due to additional parts and one bad tire
causing me to purchase 2 brand new ones.

They are Stern ST-1's

18x8.5 - Front
19x9.5 - Rear

Sumitomo HTR+ - Front
Michelin PS2 - Rear

Let me know what you think...!...!

Eibach Pro springs would take up the gap on top of the rear wheels.....

Love my Sterns........

Buff, you should have put something like a 275 or 285 on the rear wheels. I like the Stern ST1's... but I prefer silver to chrome. The car looks very good.

I was thinking some 285's or 295's would have really pumped up the look.

Thanks guys...!

I agree with the thicker tires. Probably would increase performance also. Though it would mean digging deeper in the pockets..!

I figured since the rears were from the Costco deal might as well use them up.

Thumbs up Re: Baby got new shoes...!

Well, Buff:

I think you made a very nice choice!

Calipers and rotors-when you can: do it!

Lower your car now and will set them off more IMO. Loving the rocker stripes though.

How much lower without causing any rubbing issues? I was thinking 1 inch.

Your right they do show through quite a bit. The idea I wanted was this, so when its time to upgrade brakes and calipers they will stand out.

Plus they are easier to clean the wheel wells lol.

I'm curious when I put these wheels on and rolled it into the garage. I heard this clicking sound.

Ended up jacking up the car turning every wheel, but I cannot hear anything while doing this. Nothing was hitting. It sounds like metal on metal. When driving it sounds like a horse trotting. Not noticeable going in a straight line, but when corning it's very pronounced.

Took it to a shop had them take a quick peek. The only thing they could find is when moving the front wheel up and down it clicked, said it might be a wheel bearing. I don't think wheel bearings make a clicking sound, more of a grinding/roaring.

Bad ball joint? Just need an alignment?

I initially heard it just going straight at very low speed. It progresses and more repetitive as I increase speed. Don't think its hitting the fender, I jacked the car up and spun the wheel. Did not hear anything actually.

My friend, please make absolutelysure that your rear lugs are not contacting the e-brake springs inside the hub. Please .

See that is what I thought at first. Next day I jacked the rear end up and put it in neutral. Turned the wheel I didn't hear anything except the hub moving. I then pulled the wheel off inspected the lugs for damage, but they are fine.

Lastly I put the wheels on and turned the car on and everything sounded smooth. The mechanic i rode with at the tire place said he heard it from the driver side front.

I would hate to go to the dealer paying an $100 deductible and they find nothing. Thats my last resort.
