2nd this, if your not looking to go 11's then just add a tune with the intake and should get you pretty quick until the butt dyno says you want more. You may decide it's fast enough and not add any pullies.

Code3 with CAI and tune 310-315whp on 85-90* day

181 with CAI and tune Plus exhaust and Modified intake Plenums 360-365 85-90* Day

Difference in pulley's is about 2-3 lbs of boost 20-30hp
Intake plenum mod 10-15hp
Exhaust 5-10

One real noticable difference is the time it takes to get to redline on a pull. Modified exhaust and plenums allow for a much faster delivery of power.

That is a little low on your estimate for the code3.

Both numbers are dyno readings, the only estimate there was what the mods supply. In all fairness the dyno room was 85-90* and there were no fans blowing air into the cars.

with all the wear-and-tear a pulley upgrade does, why not just do the intake, manifolds, y-pipe and tune?

there isn't a specific tune for this available yet, but i'm completing my tune this week, so you will have one to use!

even on a hot day with only one fan, this particular setup went from 265hp(stock dyno run) to 315hp, and right now my tune is SUPER rich!!!

that means wednesday the numbers will go up when InMotion 'leans-out' the tune. should yield another 15-20hp after leaning the tune!!!!!

65-70hp gain with NO PULLEY UPGRADE!!!

Not to burst your bubble but when they lean the tune you will gain 3-7hp. The car is not running pig rich say 10.1 AFR. Post your dyno, also a pulley doesn't wear you car out like you think plenty of guys have seen 100,000 miles on 178 set-ups. Eric from LET had over 100,000 miles with 178 then 185. even if you got 20hp your still 40-50 horsepower short of the 181

no prob bulldogger, i KNOW a 185, 178, and 181 pulley will make great power. i'm simply adding a different perspective and option for those who want to find more power in a different way. i believe i'm the only person going this route, and having excellent results, so i need to make this option available for others. that's the point of being an 'enthusiast, "ENTHUSIASM."

my AFR's are in the 10's in high RPM's, so more power is guaranteed when we re-tune her. that's exciting to me! the 50hp gain i've already achieved with a mismatched tune has been exciting as well.

what is super rich, 9.5:1 a/f ratio or worse?

post up your dyno.

your setup is more expensive than a pulley but why not get a pulley on top of what you have and make even more power?

J-fire sounds good looking foward to seeing the Dyno. With out the pulley option you never have to worry about going outside the limits of the factory fuel system either. Definitely a nice way to go. I personally don't think the pulley's wear you out that much faster especially since the supercharger isn't always on.

i will admit, i am a bit of a 'weenie,' because the fuel-limitation scares me most! the lack of fuel even at cold starts with just an intake bugs me. i wait until the car is fully warmed up before breaking 2000RPM's even. LOVE this car!

also, the DYNO i am on has consistently put out much lower numbers than the other types posted on here, so my numbers may not SEEM as impressive. my runs were on a (funnily) "DYN-O-MITE" dyno, and i have been told a mustang DYNO or other would give me more generous numbers. so i just use the comparison runs.

that is a land and sea brand dyno and they actually read high, especially on torque. one of my sponsors on my site owns one and my friend has a dynojet dyno. my old car read about 15whp/20wtq higher on the land and sea than on the dynojet. everyone else around here that dyno'd on it had the same experience.

every dyno is a little different though i guess.

could also be that each time i've dyno'd, it was very humid, and they only have one fan, and it's hardly adequate for a tanning bed!!!!

humidity definately is a killer.

track times will really show what your car is making. do you plan on hitting up the track anytime? i look forward to seeing what you run.

we had a private track day planned, and a huge storm came through!!!!! i'm anticipating another track day sometime next month(i hope)

i'm telling you, even though she's rich, on a chilly morning, she RIPS harder than ever since putting on the manifolds, y-pipe and tune! it's a good thing i bought these Pirelli's, they are noisy and a bit stiff, but when the heat up, it's like AWD launching! TORQUE!

that is how it always goes up here too, no rain for days until a track day then BAM a big storm hits out of nowhere when you are on your way to the track.

couldn't agree more, some people use land and sea dynos to post product numbers. Always look at the deltas my friends, those are the numbers that matter.

If you would jump from a land and sea dyno to a mustang, you would probably think something is wrong with your car.....its that different
