I was thinking of going from a C3 pulley to a 178, but is there enough difference to justify price difference or noticible gains? I understand this has been threaded to death about which pulley is better but just looking for advice from anyone with defintive evidence or someone who has tried them both. I have yet to get a tune, and know it will unlock more power/potential, just looking for improvement ideas to start saving for. Thanks

If you are going to go to a crank pulley, consider the 181 or 185 instead of the 178. That will be a definite improvement over the C3 pulley. You should also add the new NW pulley saver/wrap kit if you add the crank pulley.

yeah, I was looking over some track times on other threads and from a strickly street point of view, the 178 wouldn't provide me anything more. I was just thinking that I could get just a little more without going all out, but I think I am pretty well at the mid point. There are other mods that I need to consider, like H/E and hood.

if you arent going to go bigger in the pulley dept. explore all the cooling mods you can find. its a great way to insure a better running engine and elimante any s/c cutout
