Default Removal of Nav. antenna

I have recently had my factory nav. system removed and installed a Kenwood KVT-512 DVD system.
I tried to have the installer remove the antenna when he took out the head unit. I searched the forum for tips on how to do this and had him remove the plastic trim, he was able to pull the actual antenna off from beneath the vents but could not get the wire to come out. I am going to sell the factory system and it seems that these are much more sought after when they have the antenna and CD's with them.

Does any body have tips or instructions that could help me, or is it a waste of time to go back in after it?

Thank you all for all of the help answering my noobie questions over the last 2 months since I purchased the SRT, I am loving the car.

So far I have installed the new headunit, Code3 Pulley and my Black teflon NW CAI should be here in the next week. can't wait to see how she pulls with the intake and pulley.

Thanks,
Mike
