I'm truly sorry for your loss. My wife just lost her sister a little over a month ago. It is such a sad thing to go through...

Very sorry to hear about your loss, I was adopted and as I went after my real family, I found out my real mother had died of cancer as well, it is very tough....

So sorry for your loss and my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. It was a tough time when I lost my dad years ago and now I have my 83 year old mom living with us and we are taking daily walks and lunch together.

 

One of life’s cruelties is the death of our closest relatives. I wish you the best through your troubled times. Remembering the best times with your mom will help you through.

Chris, we are very sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. When we are younger we always believe that our parents will be around forever.
60 is way too young.

Chris there is really no wish I can send to you that hasn't already been sent.
Just know that even though she's not physically here, she will always be with you where ever you go, simply because of the love you have in your heart for her.
I was just a few years older than you when my Mother passed away due to emphysema. My Daughter was born a year later, and she's so much like my Mom in so many ways, it always makes me smile.
Smile when you think of your Mom, I bet that's what she would want you to do.

I have read this entire thread and tears came to my eyes as well.
I am saddened to hear of your loss.
I call my mom every other night and my father passed away in June 2002.
She lives close to me and is close to me but I know I will some day be going through what you are right now.
Thanks for sharing your news with the rest of us here as we are oddly all like a family in many ways.

May you keep your mom close to your heart with fond memories of her forever.

So sorry for you and your family. I lost my mom 5 years ago and miss those talks we always had. I could and did talk with her about everything.

 

Please accept my deepest sympathy. We are never ready and never prepared to loose a parent. Unfortunately, this is part of our journey. I thank you for reminding us about keeping in touch with our parents. Your mom's death has helped us (me) be better kids.

May God comfort you and your family during this most difficult time.

I really appreciate all the support here. Wow. I teared up reading each and ever post from all of you! Even you Montana! :P It has been rough and hectic the past day, but we will all get through this. As someone posted, it never really hits you the hardest till they actually pass. Memories you never even thought of, come to mind. It's strange and nice at the same time. I worry about my Dad now though. He is taking this pretty hard. I guess being married for 37 years would do that. I just hope in time, he'll get through it. Anyway, I would like to thank Glen (Cross><hair) for helping my family with the memorial video for mom and all who PM'd me with their support. Thanks.
