We were just talking about this yesterday...ya know... how much can these cars be modded before the engine blows.
I assume at the time of our conversation you were not aware that it had happened to yours ??

As much as I trusted Rob's mods, I tested each one at the track with datalogging. Dyno's won't accurately recreate a full 1/4 mile pass out in the open air.
Eurocharged- It wasn't too long ago that we were posting about protecting our members from the likes of code3 and their intercooler problems. Even posting why we don't hear the problems from the vendor only the members later. Riot posts you have more knowledge of the situation, can you blueprint a what not to do for everyone here. No one wants to blow their motor. Also why you didn't post this for the overall protection of the forum members?

I should say you blew your motor, it's the owner responsibility to verify their mods are safe.

WE DID NOT BLOW THE MOTOR. WE ARE FIXING THE BLOWN ENGINE AS WE ARE THE ONES THAT FOUND THE PROBLEM. Throwing stuff like that around is dangerous business.

I think this would be the first official blown/broke m112 s/c motor ive heard of.
Riot, what NW part are you saying was out of spec, and are you blaming the broken engine on that?

So your saying that a cold motor ran hard will lead to this same damage? Stock or Modded? Or just a modded motor with his mods? How did you determine that the motor wasn't hurt on a previous 1/4 mile pass and just gave from a cold run?
You are correct it is dangerous for a business to be associated with anyone with a blown motor. Just to be clear you are not associated with his mods or tune. My apologies for making that assumption. So your saying that it was completely driver error?
Should this be a warning to everyone who doesn't warm up their car?
