Laser Jammer
Re: Laser Jammer
Wow - lot's of good info in this post. I've used Bel's over the last 8 years and they work great. The high end models are almost as good as the V1 and less expensive. I don't expect the detector to save me when I'm running 90-100 -- there's no time to slow down. But I usually drive 10 over and pick up enough scatter to slow down when there is radar in the vicinity.
Laser on the other hand, has scared the crap out of me when it fingers my car. There's only a couple areas on I96 where they have it so I make it a point to drop close to the speed limit when I'm in that area.
I do drive the speed limit, or close to it, most of the time. But those long highway drives are less boring when you push the limits a little bit.

the nice part about valentine is the resale value. i sold my old valentine to try out a different radar and ended up making around $30 bucks on the sale. they hold their value really really well and they have an upgrade program where once new technology comes out you can send it in with like $50-$200 and get the latest model depending on how old you current model is. that means you do not have to keep buying new radar when technology changes but instead pay small upgrade fee's.
if i could do it again i would maybe steer towards the escort 9500ix but they will loose their value quick as soon as a new one comes out.

please please please do your self a favor and return the radar dector / BS jammer.
even as a pure detector only it is a POS a BIG POS. look at the reviews on the radar dectors tested for range, on axis, off axis, over a hill, around a turn and instant on sensitivty and then buy the best one you can afford.
You have 30 days to return for a full refund please return it you drive a SRT6 and i drive a limited coupe no comparison but you are using a detector which will maybe give you 1/4 range and i am using a radar detector which will give you like 2-3 miles range HUGE DIFFERENCE. if you do not want to spend more than $250 you have spend look at escort 8500 x50 it is cheaper at $209 shipped plus using live cashback you can save 10-15% off. Cheaper and it work as advertised it is a RADAR DETECTOR.

look at
valentine 1 $399
escort 9500ix $450-$500
escort 8500 x50: 200-250
escort 9500i: 399
9500ix is best combo for using in town and on the highway. valentine will give you range like no other it is claimed as "highway king" but falses in town since it is soo sensitive. the 9500ix has gps so it learns where the false alarms are and tell you about red light camera and speed traps but a slight bit more pricey and less range.

P.S. I have no idea what exactly quantum dots are, just that they are some type of semi-contuctor that can be used in many different ways. Its all nano-tech and I know very little about it. The only reason I know what I know is because my brother-in-law is the CEO of one of the most advanced nano-tech companies in the world.

Re: Laser Jammer
I have used Ecort Passports for the last 10 years. My first one was a 7500 then I bought an 8500 as soon as it came out. I have had 2-3 8500s over the years (found myself wanting them in all my cars).
Im now down to just 1 and move it back and forth between the cars. That radar detector kicks major *** IMO. Best money I have spent and saved my *** several of times. Paid for itself many times over forsure.
Ive tried the X50 and it seemed to false quite a bit more, so I sold that one and kept my original 8500. Still kickin, still doin its job.
I havent had to try the 9500 yet, I think im gonna go the SRX route on the Crossfire, allthough I have a used SR7 buried somewhere that I should try and use.
Cant go wrong with the Escorts IMO.
