Re: stupid rim question
Oh come on now there is no such thing as a stupid question. Oh wait a minute I forgot about MrPhotoguy, he has stupid guestions.
I too have the Aero Blue SRT and my search for wheels has been a long one.
I feel that there is deffinately something about the stock wheels on the Aero blue that seems just right. I do admit I like the looks of a wide polished rim though. Also I have done away with the awful looking center cap on mine.
I do plan on swapping out if a set really grabs me. Until then there are so many parts that are in need of my attention and or Chroming. Have a good one and good luck with your search and when you find them please keep us posted with a photo.

Re: stupid rim question
Oh Contrair MonFrair.
I only take off the gloves when owners that should have stayed with their hondas and the like grab a Crossfire because the market for them dropped so far out the bottom that any Tom, **** and Harry can now own one. They also are generally the type that know nothing other than replacing their tail lights with those atrocious LED set they by at PepBoys and call their cars "custom".
As far as you kind inteleigent gentlemen go i would never be compelled to say anything that could be misconstrude as an insult and if I have you know you desearve my humblest of appologies. All I can hope for is that I will have the pleasure to meet several of you in person sometime.
Remember I mearly stated my opinions you called me the Crabby Ol' Man. Don't forget I'm not that old.
By all means Have a wonderful weekend...

cgocifer has the right idea. Mandrus Milleniums are the way to go.
I have seen them in person and they look really good.
and you can pick up some MB center caps for like $50 I think.

if your car is SSB or Aero Blue, the silver with polished aluminum or stainless lip (like the petrol wheels), look the best and match the silver painted windshield surround, door handles, and strakes. Matching details make a huge difference and impact.
Thanks for the comments by the way!
Re: stupid rim question
i really like cgocifer rims and as well as jfire's rims...i do like the five spoke because its different..but i really like cgocifers rims because they match the cars lines really well.
if i were to get new one's i would get 20 back 19 front..
hey cgocifer is there any rubbing issues with the increase size rims.
thanks guys for your help it is making my decision easier

Re: stupid rim question
Carpen04: I lowered my car with Eibach springs, and Koni adjustable shocks. To really get the look right, lowering is a must IMO. To lower the car right, you need to also do the shocks. Even with the larger wheels and lower profile tires, with the new shocks and springs, the car rides like a dream. It is much, much better than the stock ride. I don't have spacers, the offsets are perfect. I don't have any rubbing issues either. As cruzinquick said, there is a lot more work than meets the eye. Luckily, I have access to a full lift, so I did all of the suspension work fairly easily. I didn't have to do as much as jfire because the Mandrus wheels are made exclusively for Mercedes vehicles. Jfire wanted larger tires and also went one step further to get his camber settings back to original specs. I haven't done that yet and I may not because mine aren't too far off from stock and only the very outer edge of the tires isn't wearing perfectly. Overall, to get the car to sit and look like it does now, it took about a year of planning (wheel and tire decisions) and and about 4 grand.
Check out this thread for another wheel and look you may be interested in. This car was one of the cars that inspired me to take the plunge. The same shop and guy mentioned in the below thread also helped me with my fitment.
