Default And another one...

my latest kill.... man, i WISH i had someone to video this!

believe it or not, haters or lovers, i beat a Porsche Turbo S cabriolet today! and from a roll of about 15mph!!! up to about 95mph.

stats on 2004 Porsche Turbo S cabriolet are:
quarter mile = 12.6.

415hp
415ft/lbs torque

so, he was either a terrible driver, or i'm running lower than 12.6's with my current setup. (don't have my new NW manifolds on yet)
the guy wouldn't even stop to talk or give a thumbs up. sore loser...
i will definitely admit, i KNOW for a fact, these cars run 11's if they are even 'slightly' modified, so i am humbled by this fact, but a 'win' is still a WIN.

New manifolds and new tune goes on tomorrow! and so far, the new Code3 intercooler is doing great. SHOCKING, right?

oh, anyone notice the whole porsche reflecting on my hood? 7 coats of Zaino carshow spray!!! LOL

With that list of mods, you better be running better than 12.6. I would guess it should be capable of 12.0-12.2. Great kill! It's always nice to blow away a car that cost 3-5 times what ours did when new, much less what they sell for now.

Nice one, but I still want one. Single or TT, doesn't matter.

Probably a terrible driver.............most Porsche owners have no clue how to REALLY drive their cars(at least out here). The Porsche club came out on an open track night out at LVMS and the best I saw them run was a 12.3@118(good trap.......bad driver).

Or....his car was broken.

Like I've had two races in my car, each by cars that wanted to race me. One C230 and one 535i. I lost both. Against the C230, my throttle body actuator went out and I went into limp mode.

The 2nd time, My TPS still wasn't fully diagnosed/fixed and I had no power at the top of third gear.

LOSER!!

That's not bad!!... About an 1/8 mile race (rolling 15MPH to 95mph) - - take it and smile.

These cars were running 220+ MPH at the Texas Mile.

BTW - You never want a kill story accompanied with a picture showing your opponent in front of you....

LOL!!! stoplight. (breakin' *****, i know)

well it actually makes the story better, i was behind him, he turned the corner and gunned it with a head start, and i still pulled on him!

i slowed down and waited for him to come up next to me and maybe chat, but every time i slowed down, he slowed down and backed off, i swear i went back down to like 20mph in a 35! not to sound juvenile, but kind of a 'p*ssy thing to do.....
at least the guy i beat in the Carrera S gave me a thumbs up and asked about my car!

Some friends of mine have privately rented a track this Saturday. My new tune and NW mani's will be on! (hopefully!)
I will keep you all posted

Rob did so much getting all my parts ready for this track day.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again; NeedsWings rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this kill without a tune? Now that's very impressive! The turbo probably had just enough lag to have you bolt on him right away having him playing catch-up! I love it! A new Mustang Shelby 500 GT tried to take me from a low roll and I walked him since he was in spin city mode! LOL! I think it pissed him off.....

Another nice kill....anybody know why when I autostick shift from 1st to 2nd 1st holds till almost redline and acts as if it doesnt want to shift to 2nd like 3 seconds after i +stick it into 2nd. I usually let off in fear that it will not shift before bouncing of limiter!?!

i do have the InMotion stage2 tune.
but i'm updating with a new tune for the Needswings manifolds today. Even without a pulley upgrade, the InMotion tune makes a HUGE difference in power!!!
i'll post pics.

LOSER!!

You don't see too many broken $140,000 Porsche 911(996 body) Turbos out here............unless they're in my shop after being smashed. There were 5 of them that one night and all were trapping 118-120 and none of them broke into the 11's in an AWD car!!! Bad driver.............great car.
