How did they do, I don't know yet. I hope I get flow charts etc.. with my shipment. Give me a couple of days and I'll report on the quality of workmanship etc.
Wow they were pretty quick about getting that back to you!

Wow! That was quick and sounds like alot of work. Care to hint or lead on to what the charged? I usually dont care to ask what people spend on thier work but I would like to know what Stiegemeri charges to do a whole setup like that.

Post pics!!!!

I'm really interested in the results! What was the final bill for all of this?! I know it probably wasn't cheap!

Bob is a real nice guy, I don't know what type of gains are there, but he has enough knowledge in the field to find any horsepower.

For the few that asked price, cost was $2800.00 + shipping & insurance both ways ( from Md. $200.00 each way ) For a total of about $3200.00

What was Bob's estimate for power gains?

Since you already have the heads off it just seems logical to me to install a larger cam or have one regound. TVT ported and polished a set of our heads with good results the flow cart was very impressive. Our heads are capable of alot of air flow they just need the valve out of the way long enough to do it. anyway there sould be a large improvement in air flow, the more flow = less restriction = less hp to turn sc = more hp to wheels

Wow, not to downplay the amount of money you spent, but by the sounds of the work done, that seems "cheap!"

Guess only time and numbers will tell... now on with the waiting game.. I am really curious how that supercharger turned out, recoated and everything.

Cant wait for pics And results

" Dyno Bob" who owns the business, said he was interested in our market and wants me to share my results and info with everyone. So I think that is why he kept the price reasonable. I told him about all of you mod nuts ! And yes considering the time he must have invested, thats cheap imo.

Talking Re: Supercharger Upgrade

For one, I will be interesting in seeing how your boost with the 181 compares with my 185 results. That 185 bad boy is running at 24 PSIG at the manifold in the 4500 - 5000 rpm range, @ WOT.

The additional S/C rpm impressed me bigtime cause I would not have expected a 4 PSIG gain, which is 20% over the 178. The 185 is 4% bigger than the 178 I was running, go figure. When I was testing stacked pulleys, I was hitting 25 PSIG before the engine shutdown due to severe missing, and never attempted further testing, never got to 5000 rpm! Documentation will follow to compare boost to boost on the same dyno.

If you have a data logger, it would be interesting to see your boost versus rpm. I will be getting thoes charts ready on the next dyno run and we can compare STOCK S/C versus your Cleaned up S/C. There is more boost in there than most of us would have believed.

Woody, running into the weekend and another autocross at Summit point......................WEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeee

I don't know much about boost, but it seems like 24 is incredibly high compared to any other car I've read about. People with other S/C cars are talking about 4psi max boost, 7psi being high, and anything over 10 to be silly in some cases.

Is boost based on the specific engine, and not a relative number across other engines? What I mean by that is does the boost amount not really matter, and it's just about the specific range for each engine? A 4psi on one engine could be dangerous, but a 17 on another wouldn't be??????

Not sure if my question makes sense.

Wink Re: Supercharger Upgrade

My stock boost was14+

Code 3 was about 17 PSIG+ boost

My LET 181 did not have a boost gauge I trusted dunno but more.

My 178 and code 3 went 25 + and I got out of it cause I had not gotten the fuel right yet, that was before the regulator was on line.

My 185 from Eurocharged is running about 24 PSIG when I got to 4500 and 5000. RAN OUT OF ROAD at that point in 3rd. Will get better data on the dyno next week, cause I got the 178 baseline week or so ago, to compare boost to boost.

My adaptation of a second Needswings CAI and a WYE inlet, gave me 1 PSIG more boost with the 178, and code 3 pulleys. The 185 boost is using the dual cai, and the charts will be posted including the power and f/a.

I was so pumped with the 3 hours of dyno time that I did not notice that the dyno boost gauge readings were not included with the print out of the 178 results. Boo

WEEKEND AGAIN >>>>>>Taaaa DAAAAA Woody

181 boost 18.5-19 and hit 20psi twice.
