Ricey??? really??? My perception of the car is very different. I feel like this is a sporty/classy car. WRX EVOS 200sx RX7 i think they are ricer. I think our bonnet is pure class and elegance, the curves side on are very nice as is the fenders. I think the xfire looks like $$$ Just my .2

Sometimes it's better not to comment at all, especially if you work in graphic design

I await the expected reply of "Well, he did ask".

I agree, this is a pretty lame thread, but at least he got some folks to bite.

Taken in October 2007. Yeah, I know it's old... and yes, it was cloudy.

Personally I am not in favor of your grille, as I have always thought that the surrounding metal frame is too flat and obvious.
The XFire is hard to alter visually without ruining the whole, as with all good designs.
Sorry, as a contributor said earlier someone had to say ....you did ask.

If that picture was taken from a cell phone, then I give it a 10!

Taken on a cell phone or not the secret of a good picture is composition, mood, lighting, etc. The subject may be mundane or the love of your life but those are what the knowledgeable critic will judge the picture on.
The photo in question is a row of buildings sandwiched between a plane and a car, what is the subject? Not the buildings for sure, that leaves us two choices .... the car or the plane?
Great pictures hit you and you feel it, but sometimes you do not know why. This applies to all forms of visual arts.
But what the heck do I know anyway.

PS, If that was a certain Japanese plane in the photo, I would have to rate it a Zero.

I agree...when taking pictures of a car, the car should be the focal point. In the OP's pic, it looks like there is a wierd antenna thing coming out of the roof. The pic really draws your eye away from the car, and leaves me wondering what to look at.

This photo is much better than the original photo at the start of the thread, the lines lead you to the car. No question as to the subject of this picture. You did not bomb out on this shot.

...except that the time stamp ruins the entire picture. That still wouldn't be a 10.

Nice car. Nice aircraft.
And some are done tastefully and tactfully. Just keep it clean and many won't even know it isn't stock.

J-Fire, I think your car looks modded, aggressively, but not ricey or gaudy. Well, everything except the grill. That thing has to go. That is just me though. I like the "Could have come from the factory" look. The factory wouldn't have allowed it to leave with an ill-fitted piece like the grill.

I said MODDED Crossfires on this site. Usually loaded with chrome....everywhere. I think I've seen MAYBE 3-4 good looking, classy sets of rims. I've seen regular Crossfires with thousands of dollars in modifications and paint to to "kinda" make it look like an SRT. Very costly and strange custom hoods. Yellow tint on the head lights. Interiors of all colors. Did I mention chrome?

Lets not forget the badges. Badges in the engine bay, 3-4 on the rear, sides, interior. There is no doubt that if I had a car made out of badges, someone on here could show me where to mount another one.

I fact, there was a white base Crossfire at the dealership getting an oil change with a "Turbo" badge on it. I asked the owner what it was about. He said his "little son" had put in on.

Riiiight, his "little son" bought a turbo badge, then PERFECTLY mounted it on the rear of his car.....and he decided to just leave it.

The Crossfire does not have a timeless shape. I'd say it has more of a niche', or cult following. Not at all accepted in the mainstream.

The RX-7 on the other hand, has always been regarded as a beautiful vehicle. The 3rd gen RX-7's are stunning cars.

ANY car can be made ricey. Period.

Are we just posting random pictures of our cars now?

Ignore the license plate holes.

I like that one a lot. It would be awesome if you could have gotten the camera angle a lot lower, so that the crossfire could fill in the space between the two peaks of the mountains. That would make me smile...

8......It would be a 10 but I don't want to encourage you to wave while racing! You're just showing off.
