INMOTION TUNES for your SRT6 @ Maryland Int. Raceway May 3, 2009
INMOTION TUNES for your SRT6 @ Maryland Int. Raceway May 3, 2009
Please post here if you are interested in a standard $350 or custom $500 Inmotion USA tune at the SRT6 shootout this May.
Info on the company and tunes can be found here: http://inmotiontuning.com/
info@inmotionusa.com
I discussed this with Inmotion and this is how it will work.
-You will pick your tune (standard or custom) submit your mod list to info@inmotionusa.com along with the tune you would like and mention you want your OBDII tune performed at the SRT6 event. Once they have your information you will then pre-pay Inmotion for your tune.
-Inmotion will then provide me with a list of who paid and for which tune and will send me your tune to store on my laptop.
-On the day prior to the event and the day of the event I will be available for a set time (to be announced) to upload your tunes for you using the Inmotion OBDII tool and software. This only takes approximately 5 minutes to perform.
Please post here if you are interested in this service, if we have enough interest I will let Inmotion know we are good to go and I will reserve the tool for the weekend.
BTW, this is the same weekend that Pinks All Out will be at MIR so you may want to come a day early to catch the show and get your tune! The track prep should be great on Sunday for our event so plan on running some great times with great traction, your new tune and a low altitude track!
Details on the SRT6 shootout can be found here: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=33132

Damn, I was hoping James would be there to custom tune. The only problem I have is, if I pay upfront for the tune and don't gain much, can I get refunded the money? Also, I would then have to have my old tune put back on by LET and I'm not sure if they will be there. ??? Anthony?

distantpulse, he will make a custom tune tune based on your mods.
I think we need around 4 or more people to do tunes that day.

Chris don't forget the traps these InMotion guys are getting! I NEED this tune! Plus they did a custom tune SPECIFICALLY for a car with: Needswings CAI, ASP Pulley, and Manifolds!
Count me in!
Re: INMOTION TUNES for your SRT6 @ Maryland Int. Raceway May 3, 2009
it is really simple to update it.
Send money to inmotion along with your mods
Inmotion creates your tune
They day of the track (or before depending if they have wireless service) simply plug in the obdii tuner, click backup your file, click update tune and about 3-5 minutes later you are done.
I think we will need 5 to 7 people interested otherwise it would be easier to just go through inmotion and have them to ship the tuner to you. But that will require a $2000 deposit from your credit card (you get it back) and $50 for shipping back and forth so the track day tune would be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Yeah, Glen and I could do that tomorrow if we wanted, but if we can get it down at MIR, that would be a better option because there is less hassle and it would be cheaper.......Not to mention, that we (Glen and I) would be making a run with LET's V2 tune first, then putting the InMotion tune on to see if there is any difference. I think that would be a selling point right there for InMotion if they are confident in the tune (which I assume they are?). I think that would really tell the tale of the two tunes once and for all......
Very good point! There will not only be one but TWO controls. Both Chris and I are running the LET V2 tune so if we BOTH exhibit gains then it's pretty safe to say it's a better tune for our mods.

To be fair you would have to run 3 passes with each. In same conditions to boot. The day fluctuates and so do the temps of the car. I say you need a private track day to do that experiment. You will have to just base it off the DA on your best run to date with the v2 tune. Why not get the tunes and mop up any 185's going. That way you have time to get used to launching the new power.
Are either going with the 93 tune?

All I run is 93 so yes, I would get the 93 tune + a meth tune.
Re: INMOTION TUNES for your SRT6 @ Maryland Int. Raceway May 3, 2009
have you datalogged your air temps since the alcohol and do you run it all the time or is it on a switch?
the more data you can provide inmotion the better the tune he can get you.
also, i was curious do you think atco or mir is a faster track or are they both about the same?
