2009 Spring SRT-6 "Battle of the supercharger pulleys" Challenge

I am planning another annual "Battle of the supercharger pulleys" meet at MIR (Maryland International Raceway) on May 3. For those not familiar with the track, it is considered the fastest track in the country! I will update this 1st post with those that plan to attend along with a "Meet the Challenger" photo and description.

Entry Fees: $30.00 Test & Tune
Gates Open: 10:00 am
Time Runs: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm



All day test session from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All MIR Test & Tunes have a free $1,000 to win Gambler’s race. The Gambler’s race will be pro-rated if less than 64 cars.
We will be calling cars to the lanes by E.T. breaks with one run per session. This will prevent you from having to stand in the staging lanes all day to get your runs. Anyone who runs first round of the Gamblers race will not be permitted to make any additional time runs. This allows those who did not run the $1,000 to win gamblers race an opportunity to get a couple more runs in before the end of the day.

Can I get a pulley installed while at event?

 

I wouldn't see why not! Also, you more than likely can get a tune as well.

 

I vote for BigKid he has my closet setup.

 

I just gotta figure out how to get my drag tires down there and back ~ about 6 hour drive...

 

are they 16", maybe let the air out of them and stick them in the back.

it is about 5.5 hours for me, i am driving down on mine lol.

 

hey guys, i was the bone stock black car there last year. Actually i was just at MIR this past sunday, still bone stock, still running the same times haha. i recently moved and now live less than 7 minutes from MIR (I can hear the cars running from my house) if anyone is interested in a BBQ or something let me know i have a huge 4 BR house a 3 car detached garage and big back yard.

 

Sounds good to me, lets have a BBQ afterwards.

 

You guys get to have all the fun! I'm way down yonder in New Orleans.

 

If I bring a sleeping bag, can I stay in your garage?

 

I'm down. Same mods as last time, but re-tuned and running MUCH better. I haven't been to a 1/4 mi track since the last challenge, but I did drop more than 2 tenths in the 1/8 with just a re-tune. Should be about .4-.5 quicker in the 1/4 than last time out. I'm pulling consistent 1.7 60-foots with 255 street tires. I just upgraded to 275s, so drag radials won't be needed in my case.

I'm also down for a BBQ!!! I'm about 1.5-2 hours away, so I guess I'm pretty close. I usually run up there 3-4 times a year to run and whenever there is a decent event.

 

I want to reserve a room Driver for hire, just pay the plane ticket.

seriously, if its going to make it a better turnout, people could crash at my house, it is not a big deal, ive got couches and futons and love seats and plenty of floor space for sleeping bags.
