By the way...I'm not slamming Boxsters (and Caymans). They are great cars and I seriously considered buying one. I still own a Honda S2000, so I certainly appreciate lightweight, agile cars.

They also said that the steering and handling on the SRT6 was on the vague side, while the Boxster was crisp and engaging, but suffers from snap oversteer at the limit (Imagine that with a mid-engine, rear drive car! Shocking!).
Anyway, that's enough bench and stat racing for now.
When the day is done, regardless of which car I get to ride/drive in, wether it be a 12 year old Boxster with 80k+ miles, or a 1 year old Crossfire Roadster with under 3k miles, both put a smile on my face.
Both cars feel entirely different in the mountains.
Its actually amazing the differences between the cars on the really twisty, fun stuff.
The Boxster just feels 100% planted, while the rear end of the Crossfire seems to wallow around a bit on the same stuff, and then you feel the ESP kick in, and spoil all the fun.
Now, if you could put the same handling and brakes onto the SRT6 that comes in the Boxster, and give it a several hundred pound diet, then that car would be lethal to all comers.
Well, its that, or you slap a supercharger on a Boxster.
There are some crazy people out there who have done that too.
Enjoy the ride!
If you don't, what's the point?

Exactly!, Enjoy the ride! Is that not why we all post here? Because anyone else without the same enthusiam for the ride would not get it and get bored of these conversations.
Bladecutter - I know what you mean about the rear end getting too loose on the XF, even worse on the SRT. It kind of steals my confidence in the cars ability in those situations. I just have to learn better throttle control in the corners. more cornering means less throttle, less cornering more throttle.
