FP,
My Aero came with the Kumho Ecsta SPT's on the rear and I am very happy with them. I drive them all year but not in ice or snow. They seem fine in the rain, I just dont get too frisky. They have worked good for me at the track also if the track is prepped good.

We have the F1 All Seasons on the coupe and absolutley no road noise issue. They have been very quiet tires with about 12k miles on them so far. They look great too.

Has no one but myself and distantpulse had the Vredesteins? Maybe it's that I'm comparing them to the Contis I used to have, but I have no complaints whatsoever. Grip is amazing, wear is great, they're the meanest looking tread I've ever seen, and about this road noise everyone talks about... What's that? I haven't heard a thing out of these tires, except a few times I've managed to get them to spin. It's surprisingly hard even with the power my car has.

Uncle O has them, and while I won't vote FOR him, he has told me he likes them.

Oh, and my neighbor with the 500 hp Cobra has them too. He loves them.

Anyone want to chime in on the General Exclaim UHP?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....peed_rating=(Y)

I need a set of rears before the spring dragon, and I'm up in the air between the Kumhos, the Generals, the Hankooks, the Sumimotos, and Nittos.

I bought mine back in april or may last year. They are super quiet but do not grip as well as i would like in the curves, it is also easy to break them lose when launching on the streets. Overall they are a very good tire though, they do great in the rain as well.

Maybe the reason I like mine so much is because they're 295's out back. Kind of explains why I've had so much grip at launch. But either way I'm super happy with them.

I have 275/35/19, not much of a difference in size (.78" wider). They are very good tires though, especially for the price.

I was checking these out as well Tom. They're rated well, and the price is right. Anyone have them?

OK, as long as we're at it. Anyone have experience with Toyo Proxes T1Rs, or Toyo Proxes-4s?

Well, I just ordered two Sumitomo HRZ III 265/40/18's for my new wheels. (18" x 9.5") At $165 each from TireRack.com I couldn't go wrong. They're Y rated (unlike the General Exclaims) and have a wear rating over 300, and a AA adhesion rating. Sounded too good to be true. I hope they aren't!

I'll let you guys know how I like the new tires after the Spring Dragon.

Yep! I had the T1R's on the rears. They hooked up great at the track and on the street! Awesome tire!

Kumho 255/35 SPT... You CANNOT buy a better tire for the money. Quiet, Very Grippy, Soft Ride, Drag Radial stick at the track.

I am just now replacing the rear ones at 20,000 miles with a god amount of Dragon and Track time on them.

The only concern I have with the Kumho's is that it's a heavier tire and I'm thinking of up sizing by 1 all the way around. The wheels will be heavier as it is.

I guess you'll have to get the TVT300 kit to compensate!

Haven't heard much about the Cooper Zeon 2XS but they do come in the 18's & 19's for our car. The 18's go for only $122 apiece and the 19's for $185 apiece at:

I would pass on the Cooper zeons . . . . They didnt last long and became very noisy as they wore (choppy ride)
The Kumhos wear well and last good for the price.
