Mike aka SVO sells the 275 kit. I have one and quite honestly, after comparing it side by side with the NW CAI, the $275 CAI is better made. The "imitation" kit includes t-clamps vs. the worm clamps, has rolled lips on the tubing (think high quality intercooler pipes), and doesn't have the ugly nw logo (but that's my opinion). Otherwise, they're exactly the same from the bend angles to the filter and fitment is perfect. It's a no brainer, unless you have to have the needswings logo. Like SVO mentioned, the 200 I saved is going toward other mods.

I have researched CAI kits extensively but I still have a few questions before I make a purchase.

I have read all of the positive feedback on the Needswings intake and was leaning towards it until I saw the kit that was being offered for $275 with polished tubes. This kit looks very similar to the Needswings kit but is selling for $175 cheaper. I am all for saving money; does any one have experience with the cheaper intake? Will it create the same power gains as the Needswings version? also I really like the mercedes airboxes that

Thanks.

I have this kit. It was super easy to install and came with great instructions. It looks great, came packaged nicely and every component looks and feels like it will last.

After installing, the S/C is of course louder (but in a gooooood way!) and the exhaust is a bit more noticable as well.

It's safe to say this increases the enjoyment level whilst driving the SRT!

Oh, and the attractive savings have me much closer to the sprintbooster that I now so desperately need.

You won't be disappointed.

Do these members know you stole this idea from Rob at Needswings? Most are newbies and seems like the blind leading the blind. SVO what do you do for income? Maybe Rob can come take food out of your mouth. Needswings is no fly by night business, but his living. His taking an interest in the SRT6 has benefited the entire community.

Your swap meet version comes close, but is not the real thing. So don't refer to your intake as Needswings style unless your willing to prove it's your idea. It's one thing to be creative and make one for yourself, but to produce knockoff's is just unethical and shows no class.

Michael Porters five forces of business (MBA must know)
  1. Supplier Power
  2. Buyer Power
  3. Barriers to Entry
  4. Threat of Substitutes
  5. Rivalry
Every business that opens its doors in a "FREE MARKET SOCIETY" must deal with these five forces - That's just a fact; even the companies we all work for.

NeedsWings, LET Code3, TVT, etc... are no different - and they have no power or protection from any of the above five forces. Most of the products offered are easy to clone - and have no large capitol requirement outlay for start up. This is why many business fail and many start up every day.

The best protection that any organization can have are:
  1. Registered Patent
  2. Politician (legislation)
  3. Lawyer

You again, arrrggg LOL! No worries bud, I would buy you a coke with the 5 bucks. All things similar, thier is no way in hell the NW intake would walk an SL55 by about a tenth. Dragtimes.com, dyno number, and personal testing tells me so .
