.I just think the world should know how much it costs to make how much hp.

Somebody needs to post the graphs and what hp with what products...

At least thats my opinion.
I know I would want to know reality.
Yeah, I wish I could have dynoed with each part I put on the car...,

I'll post my costs so far.
LET pulley/phenolics/SL55 boxes/ Thermostat/Radiator fan tuning/Tune= $2050
Kooks exhaust with tips 764.00
Dyno time and custom tune$220
Custom Plenums $100
Total expense on car $3134
This was for 377/378 on a Dynojet.
Two future mods will be TVT injectors and ACPT driveshaft then retune.

I'm under $3k for mine. I got the asp 178 and NW intake on the group buy. The NW mani's group buy. IM tune $500, and NW ypipe. Heck even add in my $89 dollar bosch pump. With my wheels tires and data logger than I'm closer to $4K.

Now thats what I am talking about how much $ per how much HP....

Now for the person out there that doesn't make it on a group buy....full cost would be how much $ per hp $

Soon its diminishing returns....don't ya think Import?

It's always the case of diminishing returns with racing. After the bolt ons it starts becoming 3-5hp gains at a much greater expense, especially with these cars.

I figure it's right about $10 per time slip so far, and around 8 trophies. Winning a race on the same track that I've been watching the pro's at for years is priceless.

I agree Kirk, and with mods both you and I have, I actually expected more out of both cars. I admit, I have a lot of money in the car. With all my mods, including the gauges and drag radial setup, I have $5,500 invested in the car. But I did get in on a lot of group buys and have good relationships with a lot of the vendors on here, otherwise it would be closer to $7,500. Do I believe all the mods we equal bang for the buck? No, but you get to a point (like said above) that its hard to make a few more horsepower. My next steps to make more power, after I get injectors and a fresh dyno tune, would be nitrous or a turbo kit. Nitrous is a possibility....and turbo will not happen, to expensive.
