Just another idea let me know what you guys think
Re: Just another idea let me know what you guys think
Check out some of the postings by member "Chuck Norris" I believe this project is already on the drawing board ! Chuck successfully incorporated an Eaton Supercharger to his engine and is now planning on adding turbo's ! Tho I haven't seen any posts on Chucks project in awhile

The idea is very interesting. But $$ is the key here. I think you'll end up spending alot of money for this one. As you can see it has already been done. I don't think there would be any shortcuts you would want to take with this mod. So some of the major systems will need modifications. Besides trying to package the extra hardware. If you have the money, time and fabrication skills then I would say go for it.

Wow! I guess the most extensive engineering departments of the worlds finest high performance and race automobile companies have missed the "forest for the Trees!!!"
How bout just a higher boost Blower? That way you can throw a couple hundred pounds of Rube Goldberg Drawings in the back without adding any additional weight. Actually his designs may have been a little more complex, but they worked.
Before you ask, look up Goldberg.

Face it, Turbocharging is where it's at.

I don't understand the negative feedback for his idea when we seem to have reached a 400hp threshold that likely won't be broken without a bigger blower, turbos only, or nitrous.
Twincharging this setup may very well be the most simple way (from a fabrication perspective) to add power besides nitrous, fabricating a setup for a bigger blower, or going turbos only. Think of it - most of the parts you need are already on the car that would have otherwise required a lot of fabrication, R&D, and $$$.
Twincharging isn't all that uncommon now, just never heard anyone speak of it regarding the m112.
