who needs to spend 2500 or 3k on brembo when you can get better quality for less $
That sounds interesting, a MUCH better price than Brembos, and I appreciate the response.

But I am really just looking for the rotors. I don't need any more stopping power, it is my daily driver, I just want them for the looks, since my rims are quite open for viewing. Although, I would appreciate a little brake performance from the upgrade. But really just for looks, and my brakes are squealing anyway.

P.S. The more I think about it that deal sounds great! I just don't have the need to double my cost.

Hopefully you guys might be willing to try out PowerMod's piggy back ECU?

www.powermod.com.au

A guy on MBWorld installed one on his E (the twin turbo thread). It'd be nice to see if this is all that it is cracked up to be. On paper the systems sounds like a nice step up from the flash ECU tunes out there. Besides they have a Mercedes specific system already!

I spoke with someone from LET a month or so ago (I think it may have been Jerry), and he said that the redesigned 185 was ready to go, and back on their website.

Is this a different kit, or the same one, or a newer redesigned one?

Thanks and good luck.

Thanks and good luck.
A newer upgrade kit, incorporating a larger belt, and different sized pullies for the accessories, and possibly a belt wrap (still testing) The unit itself has been redesigned and is looking good. We are testing the heck out of the new unit and I'm sure you all understand why we want to make sure everything is perfect with this one.

Okay, now I have to ask.... since I have a 181mm already... will there be any option to buy an 'upgraded' WP and Idler pulley and longer belt to bring them more in line with factory RPM's?

It cant hurt to ask you know. I am quite happy with my pulley, just looking for improvement opportunities.

Thanks,
MikeR

That's what the forum needs to hear.

I would be interested in a exhaust, from the cats, that would be a bolt on! Just have not heard one that I really like yet. Look forward to spending more money on my Beast!

ya, thats a unique feature of our company. When you actually have members/owners that have been burned by other vendors and that have been around a lot it makes for a different dynamic.

Talking Re: Eurocharged Performance...who the heck is that??

I wanted to bring up a point that the accessories have to follow the belt speed and a bigger take up pulley( it does the pulling) raises the surface speed of the belt. The only reason that the water pump pulley is smaller is to provide physical clearance between the W/P pulley and crank pulley.

There is no way to change anything, easily, that will UNDERDRIVE the water-pump pulley. In a way; it is a benefit as the somewhat faster water pump allows greater water pumping with the cooling benefits.

BTW the 181 pulley is only 1.6% bigger than the 178 and the 185 is only about 3.9% bigger than the 178. Overall the 185 is a 19% bigger - FASTER - than the stock 155 crank pulley. Stress wise I feel that the supercharger is forgotten in all of this as it is using up to 50 horsepower to blow air toward the motor. That on a belt driven pulley shaft that is but 2+" in diameter turning some 15,000...............yeeeeaaha!

Weekend #1, enjoy and party safely.........W DY
