Stall Converter
Stall Converter
Now offering 2600 rpm stall converters to take up to .5 second off you 1/4 mile times! All converters are built by order if you want custom stall speeds, since they are hand made there will be no additional charge!!! Price is set at $599 if orders are more than 5 units I will take $50 off each converter for "group buy rates". If you have any questions feel free to email or post. These converters are made by a very reputable company in the racing industry with the help from me and my company we now can offer these converters at a fraction of retail price since I get rights for helping develop the product with them. Take advantage of them while you can after the first 100 are sold, my price will go up, due to the fact that this is my agreement with the manufacturer and I to be able and market the converters themselves. at $700+ dollars! First come first serve policy is inforced.
Re: Stall Converter
As of 1/30/2009 J-fire stated he was going to look into valve bodies drive shafts and converters. As of today you have the converter available. Moparbust already has a higher stall converter installed and is testing it on Feb 7, so if you helped in the design is Moparbust running one of you prototypes?? Too many converters arriving to the market at one time to be coincidence. How many of these converters have been installed in Crossfire SRT6 or in a Mercedes SLK32.
Re: Stall Converter
yes this is true and i have him sheduled next week to install his new converter.
There is no one on this website yet with the converter and the two other test cars I talked to this morning dont want me to give there info out on this forum for rear of non stop pestering.
I'm not out to screw anyone! I you want to go with a 1000 dollar converer that is your choise, but as you said there are alot coming to market and only two companies have your forums support because they were the only 2 suppliers, so your buying there name........ How many custom converter companies to you think actually make the units in house? How many have the facility size and tooling to produce custom converters? I guess you will have to wait for j-fire to leave feed back.

Re: Stall Converter
IMO, if it does what it states and this converter works well, I think the price is outstanding at $600! I am just not going to be the first one buying. lol. You state a 2600 stall speed, is that for a stock SRT6?? A lot of us are not stock and I would assume the stall would increase with higher HP numbers correct??

Re: Stall Converter
yeah and you thought you had traction problems before haha just like with a turbo car you want to scrub off alot of low end torque to help traction........ and besides getting the engine speed up on take off is the best way to launch everything! I dont care what it is, do you a see and cars other than stock making 2000 rpm launches? no!
drag racing is about getting throught the gears as quickly as possible before you have to let off, stall converts help cut the time it takes the engine to rev throught first gear.......

My TC was built by a friend of mine who owns a HIGH performance tranny/TC building shop and is in NO way affiliated with any of the other ones popping up on here. I had mine built to MY specs with MY dyno numbers, weight, tires, times, etc. As mentioned before I will not go around making claims of .5-1.0 gains on a product that has NEVER seen the track before on one of our vehicles. The best I've run out here at LVMS pre-TC so far is a 12.3@113 with a 1.81 60'................we'll find out in 3 days if I can knock ".5 seconds(plus)" off my time.

Re: Stall Converter
There is a lot of talk about High stall converters on the forums. Do you get Advantages from them also in the higher gears? Will there be a negative effect at high RPMs, for example the car fall on its face at higher RPM? What are the negative effects in general? Thanks.
Re: Stall Converter
Yes what is gas milage haha I get fun per gallon..... and alot of it!
But seriously these are lock up style converters, which will drive like stock, they are not comparable to say a 4500 stall that will slip if your under 3000 rpm, as far as milage goes I dont see how they could decrease unless you drive the ca harder from stop lights, they, and most converters work better by not trying to foot brake at say 2500 and launch. you want to hold the revs up high enough not to bog but low enough not to engage the converter, say 1000rpm ish and snap the throttle.

Re: Stall Converter
okay, since these are not obviously th350 converters, they are built off the stock core.... forgive me for my ignorance but i am not the one building these converters, just helping supply the demand for cheeper aftermarket parts, mb trannys are not run of the mill, so there for input spline size is a factor, and my manufacturer has increasded the stall speed based off the stock settings, per my specifications for desired stall rpm. which is the same for just about any stall converter made on the market today.
