Can any of you relate your experience of running temp differences between CAI (mounted in front of radiator) as opposed to modified WAI in engine compartment? I have fabricated a WAI and am amazed at the difference in sound, and have read the performance posts..... BUT I also know this is a HOT motor, AND it is cool right now here in Dallas, but that will go to triple digits in the summer. I'm about to jump on a Needswings CAI......just like to be armed with actual experience from SRT owners. Thanks in advance.

 

I too live in Dallas and can tell you first hand that the Needswings is the way to go. I had one of the BDJ dual intakes that looked and sounded awesome, but putting the filter out front made a ton of difference. When its 100 degrees outside for months on end, you will really see the benefit. Right now the car is down right dangerous…. I can spin the tires at 50 mph on an entrance ramp to Central Expressway!! This cold weather turns these things into BEAST! You should come to the local Dallas get together, I will let you take mine for a spin and feel the difference!!

That's a very generous offer on the test run, but even better would be to get mine up and running like yours does. I have many questions about your mods, but first the CAI. I think a few people are meeting for lunch on Friday at Spring Creek BBQ in Richardson/Plano. There is usually a thread in the Texas section of the forum about the DFW GTG's. This Friday thing is pretty last moment but I am sure Dan will chime in on this thread with info~
