All in the launch both pretty equal stock. Learn to launch your car first then run with him.

I have a limited and I raced a 335i and he didn't beat me by that much I reckon you should EASILY be able to beat him! let us know how you go. Goodluck

The 135I runs low 13's in the 1/4, so it should be a real close race. One tried to pull away from me but with my mods, I easily walked him.

well i mastered the brake launch with my car and the 135 im racing is also a drop top so im assuming it is fairly heavier compared to the hardtop.
we'll just have to find out tomorrow then.

Last time I was at the track there was a guy running his stock SRT6 and his friend running a stock 335 manual coupe. The guy in the stock SRT6 was running consistent 13 flats and the 335 was running mid to low 13's. I think the only way you lose is if you mess up your launch. If you both get good launches you should win, but it still will be close.

You will win- I raced my coworker and won..

But they can spend a little amount of money and add a ton of performance.

I ran high 12's stock w/ my 'vert in the beginning...now w/ mods, she's running low 12's...you should be able to take....just mash the gas and hang on and don't look back...until you see 150....LOL

so i raced my friend with his 135i a couple hours ago, the temperature was about 70 degrees and we did a stand still run, a 20mph run, a 40mph run and a 15 mph run...all of these runs were about to 80 mph and every single one i won, the 135 is quick but the srt6 was just taking off like a monster and leaving him a good 1 1/2 cars behind me by the time i reached 60mph

good way to represent the 6 with the 135.......niceeeeeee...because it seems like a driver's race since they have the same 0-60 times from factory which is 4.75-4.85

thats great news, i just got my 6 and my friend is getting a 135 in january. we have been discussing and talking about it for ages now, good to see you have done it. he has a convert though doesnt he? my ffriend is getting a coupe which is 100kg or so less. that could be the 1 1/2 car lengths. Did u get him off the line every time? and how did u go from about 30mph as i feel the 6 really goes hard from that range. one more question were u using the autostick? Im really keen tell me everything thats a great kill IMO

yes i took him off the line everytime, i turned my traction control off and dropped the car in 1st and let the computer do the rest of the gear changing..i also brake launched at 1800 RPM

im going to have to try to launch like that, bit worried about turning off the traction control mind you, not experianced in ever trying that... Did your mate use similar tactics like you when you raced from a stand stil? Did you notice you dominated him more so from different speeds or it was all pretty much the same?
