I could do this. Want to know what would happen. Everyone would show interest up front and the few people who actually came through with the money wouldnt even come near offsetting the cost or r and d and production.

Just telling it like it is. The market is too small for these cars and the few of us who modify them.

240,
Kooks was the same way with the exhaust. I asked if they wanted to make up a few more sets and they said no. My car was worked on for about a 12 hours to complete the system. There isn't any real market for the car. We are lucky to have guys like you, needwings, LET and a small group of others that take an interest in improving the performance, and making the parts.

I agree, however with the platform being "around" for the last decade and the platform (MB) being more affordable now is a better time than never. As I am sure you know our motors are not limited to the 3000 SRT-6s.

I realize it probably wont happen.

One can dream right?

R U Crazy?

Why would I spend more of my money on a new SC when my car came with a perfectly good one? Why would I spend my money on new pistons when my car came with perfectly good ones? etc....

Spending money for money's sake does not ensure more performance...

Now; what would really set this "Platform" on fire is a plug-and-play replacement ECU that could be easily tuned to "take full advantage" of all the other high priced "goodies" you speak of...

Until then, looks like 400 RWHP is the ceiling - unless you go big with NOS...

C3 pulley and 181 pegs the injectors at about 5K RPM. They are completely out of fuel at that point.

I agree 100%.... Brandon (Code3) and Jerry (LET) and I tried that combo on the dyno at Fluid Motor Union and the injectors went static at about 5k and AFR's leaned out to 17:1 very quickly.

this is true you need to raise the fuel pressure to ( dyno will tell you this) as per your mods), and or go with bigger injectors jim

Am I crazy? Why, because our "mods" are limited from what I see. People are taking 280 whp car and boosting them pretty good.

You got intake mods, pulley, tune and you are looking over 350whp easy. Anyone can do that in a weekend.

Whats that leave us? Id rather bolt on a new SC than open up the block and start porting heads or go with $2000+ cams etc.

As you mentioned, your looking at about 400whp limit tweeked and i agree. So Nitrous or bigger SC. A SC would be nice

And you still got no ECU that can control all those goodies...

If and when you get the ECU issue solved ($$), and then pay for all those "goodies" - - you've got like $15K- $20K; perhaps even more invested and all you will do is spin your tires and-or break an axle..

I'll be very happy with 400RWHP (40 more to go) and the lower price tag.

If I was serious about straight line drag racing (600+ RWHP) - I would invest my $$ in another platform....and keep my SRT6 for the road course.....

That's why I'm keeping the Code 3 off, for now.
Thanks to those that have done the testing to enlighten the rest of us.

We can source the injectors for you guys.

Hell, I'll even offer them at cost plus paypal fees and shipping for the first 5 that want to "exploit" their cars.

I really just want to see a DD, street tired, mid 11 sec SRT putting around soon. So far I only know of DP's car doing it on pump gas.

I'm pretty sure my cost is around 420.00 for the 45 lbs injectors, which is about a 20% larger injector then stock. That price includes the fees and shipping.

I WILL get there! Keep that offer open a little longer for me. I will be adding a few more goodies to my mods and I'll need those injectors. I am stopping at 11.5's. If I can hit 11.5's on street tires and pump gas, I will be totally satisfied although this is no easy task.......

Sorry to disagree but I run a clean 12.5 all the way to redline, with enough fuel to supply my wet shot of nitrous all the way to a 150 shot. Stock fuel pump and stock injectors. With a run of 10.71 @ 131mph =??HP. + With no Juice 11.59 @ 122 = ??hp. I have over five ecu chips that I can switch out depending on what type of gas, nitrous or not I'm running, And have never run lean, I think you guys are missing some vital tuning parameters that can be unlocked!? How many hp does it take to run above numbers? check it out on a hp calculater! I haven't dyno'd in a while but have put up well over 400 to the wheels with all stock fuel components. And I believe our stock injectors are 42#? Psi 55? Not sure about the volume though, but looking at my numbers, I'd say good enough! Please don't start banging me out, this is just my factual experience.

Now timing, air, heat those may start to suffer? But fuel ? I don't think so. You can run lean from other reasons, ie..too much fuel and not enough air = lean condition because it can't burn.

I'm trying to leave some space on the first page of dragtimes.com for others!
