Sorry -- I can be a real pain too when dealing with vendors, but Anthony has been great on the several occasions I have dealt with him personally, and I have sent four other owners to him and they were all impressed -- two of them went back to him a second time.

I'll still shop with TVT first!

Yeah, I have had no problems dealing with Anthony. He is always answering my questions and giving me support. Hell, we worked on my car from 11am to 9pm on a Saturday and he only charged me what we agreed on, which was a fair price! I kinda felt bad actually......

It's like the quote from the movie Tommy Boy...

"Ted Nelson, Customer: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of ****. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me."

You get the idea. There brake pads not Coach handbags or something....
Oh Come On!! No one liked my "Tommy Boy" reference... Buy Callahan Shirt HERE!!

They were even selling Callahan Brake Pads, it couldn't have fit better.

Sorry I was just real proud of myself for this one , boring day at work so far.

I don't think the issue is that he didnt get what he expected, rather how it was handled after the fact.

I liked your Tommy boy reference Rodimus! As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to order a shirt.
Hopefully it will be packaged properly!!

When i received my Posiquiet pads they were dusty and in a ratty looking box.

The pads in your pics look new and scratches on the back side hurt nothing. Its just a cheap layer of paint to keep mild steel from rusting.

I was referring to not getting nice shiney new looking parts.

Coyote, I bought Rotex pads from an E BAY vendor last year. When they arrived the condition was very much like you described. I took them to a brake dealer who said they looked ok to him, but I was not convinced and did not put them on the car. After reading your post I went looking for them as I have bought a second SRT. As for Anthony I have had good business relations with him, however a satisfied customer is the number one goal of every business.

Guys,

I think that we can chock this one up to a bad day and Anthony, give Coyote an apology more directly to call this conflict quits.

Having your ride in the air for over a week can add fuel to an already brewing fire and although you were likely not wrong in what you said it seems to be an issue of how it was handled, keeping a customer is key.

We all do make mistakes and well this is an example of a crummy packaging by the vendor which has created this mountain out of a mole hill. I have not yet purchased from TVT but hope that we can get this all smoothed over.

Coyote, you can extend the olive branch as well!

The roller could be a improved idler pulley, looks plenty strong and larger means less RPM, do you think?

Woody

BTW my gold pads came shrink wrapped plus a box.

DiskItalia. Came in their own boxes. Seem to generate very little dust - certainly compared to stock OEM front pads.

'Nuff he-said she-said. Neither one of you can convince the other. Bigger issue is Rotex saving a nickle on boxes and losing business. Someone needs to tell them of customer perception of poor quality.

The Rotex are great pads, but yes they do come packed cheap. And as I've said before the price keeps going up and up. Every 3-4 months it's about a 10% price increase.

Two things..... First, I havnt actualy bought anything from Anthony yet, but when I have inquired about parts he has bent over backwards trying to make things work for me. Secondly, as for the price on brakes, we have seen a 15% increase in our cost on Mercedes OE pads and rotors over the last 6 monthes. I can see where aftermarkets woulld have increased as well.
