Default Help me get part number for plastic passenger splash guard...

Ya know I'm usually really good at looking up part numbers but I'm out of luck on this one.

I need the part number for the splash shield thing on the passenger side, beneath the car, facing down, right below the heat exchanger water pump. To the side of it is the main center splash shield. I'm sure you know which piece I'm talking about....

I did a bad job reinstalling this piece and found it out when it went crunch crunch under my tire as i was driving....

If it's the shield that's below the fog light this is part# 5097998AA and this one is the same but includes the access door that goes on it. 5098682AA

wow the dealer wants $116. How about no... I may just have to fab up something crude. I only lost the lower flat-laying section, not the section around the wheel well.

Are you talking about the air diverter or air deflector in front of the front right tire? ...hangs down about 2" and is about 4" wide?

If that is what we are talking about it is NOT worth $116! You could make your own for less than $5

Thanks guys.

I only lost the bottom part of it. It tore off from the part that goes near the tire. And actually, I didn't lose it, I turned my car around and found it haha.

So, I decided I will just figure out a way to mount it as-is, because this way I'll be able to remove the now-separate bottom part easily if I want to install a new I/C pump or something.

Thanks for coming to my rescue!

I was putting a "T" in the heat exchanger inlet hose so I could add a fluid cooler in parallel with it, which I did. I guess I expected the temperature guage to read lower after the install but its not, so I haven't bothered sharing any pics with you guys. Maybe I'm just disappointed.

But yeah, I bent down the plastic piece to give me more elbow room. I didn't quite put it back how it should've been, didn't seem important as I was planning to get back under there after a test drive. When I went for a drive, someway, somehow, the plastic piece touch the road and tore off from the rest of the plastic piece, so I'm missing that corner bottom piece, but still have the part that wraps up around the tire.

Its possible the wind bent it down while driving...

I got an aftermarket one for my SLK32 from iautobodyparts.com for $21 +s/h. I wonder how different yours is? The only difference in the aftermarket one was that the "door" was a pop-in piece instead...

Got a pic of it or schematic? I'm curious if it's the same.
