Quit being lazy, there are hundreds of threads on this. Why should we do the work for you, it takes about .2 seconds to do a search that turns up all the info you would ever need.

I wish there was some way to search for info on a forum for these cars.

 

I would need to see what the gains are to be had by going with a different intercooler.

With some simple mods; separate the coolant systems, adding a larger HE and perhaps a better pump, you can get your IAT's to some pretty tame levels. I had good results with these mods (LINK) and the cost was less then $600 (without my custom tank). More pics in my gallery.

Also Woody (AKA waldig) has done a lot of work with engine and IC cooling. Here is one of his mods (LINK). You could give him a PM.

Ive read litterally HUNDEREDS of pages on this forum over the last week. (Using the seach, letting link take me where they may)

I am learning alot rather quickly, and have a few questions. I dont expect when I ask questions to be given asshat answers from people who think they are above others. (not you)

Ive learned ALOT, but have not seen one post, one topic, mentioning speculation or expected gains/benifits to say... Spearco IC unit I mentioned in the first post.

I ordered it. I definitely hope it helps, but even if it does nothing, it will be better than the leaky stock intercooler I have now (common problem, at least on the older C32's). It was actually $51 cheaper than an OEM unit, so I am already ahead.

 

For sure - if you have to replace your IC - then the risk is almost nil VS the cost.

Let us know how the install goes and how well it preforms (if you datalog or have an IAT gauge)

I understand why we have search. but i dont understand why everyone always has to say go search yes they have been covered but if i knew the answer and read his post then i would for sure answer it. it takes about the same to argue with someone to use search as it does to answer the question. now if the answer to the question is on the front page or 2nd page i would understand but cmon guys most of the people know about search obviously they cant find what they are looking for.

 

Heres the simple answer your looking for. Buy the LET if they are still making it, or code3, or waldigs HUGE unit. The LET unit is twice as large as stock.

Then do Brian Braves coolant separator mod and a Johnson pump.

If you can only afford one do the separator mod.

 

Because by hand holding every person that creates a thread like "what is the best intake!" or "how do i put gas in my car"or "OMGWTFBBQ does anyone make an upgraded heat exchanger" threads which have been answered 1 billion times it only encourages for more and more of these threads to be created which junks up the forum and frustrates people and discourages people from creating USEFUL threads.


the better you cool a FI car the more power you make

a upgraded HE is not going to help you much
a upgraded and expensive IC will help a little (it is upgraded thats the KEY word) but not worth the $
a chemical intercooler aka ALCOHOL INJECTION will do everything you want for about $200 and will let you increase timng for great power gains

If the little guy is still confused, alcohol injection is good and is cheap and will drop IAT's significantly. The EXPENSIVE mods such as IC and HE upgrades are not worth the $ for the small gains you get.

I dont think he technically sells it but he will give you the part numbers and info.

Its basically a huge radiator.

Yep, I have that part number from summit written down right next to me. Its a nice heat exchanger. I read over that whole thread, watched all of his youtube videos.
