Went to the Dyno today...
Re: Went to the Dyno today...
According to the SRT6 Specs on the forum, the gear ratios are:
3rd Gear = 1.405
4th Gear = 1.000
5th Gear = 0.831
I thought all chassis dynos were supposed to be run as close a 1.0 gear ratio as possible.

All my dyno pulls were run in fourth gear.

Re: Went to the Dyno today...
I just thought I would post up a few dyno sheets so show how….useless…dyno’s really can be. Each sheet shows two runs from two different shops (Both Dynojet) on two different days. The common denominator here is the car…the same mods and the outside temps were pretty close, right at 90 degrees. Notice the drop from 321 to 314 in the first graph, this is a graph showing the first pull from Shop 1 and the first pull from Shop 2. Look at the second graph and see that the only change is from SAE to STD setting…wow, it appears I just gained HP on both runs. This is from the exact same dyno files. Now add in that there are 3 other types of dynos in the US, it is almost impossible to gauge your cars HP to another car of someone elses. The third file is a scan from this weekends dyno showing the new and improved "Jerry Tune". I am still waiting on the shop to email the actual Dyno jet file. Enjoy~
