This isn't a very good pic, but I thought I would share. It is a brochure of last years winners at the " world cup finals, import vs. domestic." Notice my car on bottom right! This was a brochure given out for this years race. And yes I'm running domestic, as our vin #s do still start with a one.

That is very nice. Thanks for pointing out the vin. I usually point to the plate and say it made in germany for import races, and just point chrysler for domestic. Now I can point to the vin. I won my little import event over here a few weeks ago.

Actually I ended up getting disqualified upon protest from another team, but they put my pic in anyway ( I did have the fastest time though ) But for this class the tech guys said stock s/c with no upgrades was o.k. as long as all parts were factory untouched, then the guy who beat me was n/a and his team protested the fact that it must be n/a and I was dq'd. Others in the class had stock turbos. oh well, it was big fun. I still call it a win, as I whooped up on about 20 big money$$ cars.

It was a good day overall, I had a good time and MIR is a nice Facility(aside from not having a freaking ATM, Thanks again Rod). I was VERY disappointed in my car's performance. There are more than 3 cars represented in these pictures. Most of us were rocking Black or Blue...

BTW, I'm the fat guy if you were wondering.

Woody, have you ever logged a P20D4 "Load Limit active" ? The Load Limit is programmed in the EGS (TCU) to protect the tranny, which is capable of 580NM (rated by MB) in the long term ... Few tuners can remove this limit.

They also have torque dampers that you can add. They are basically shocks mounted from the engine to the fender.

Are there good mounting points already on our cars? I would be definitely interested in this mod.

Blue,
That was my thought last night. The one in the pic is on 186mm(7.25") long. That is pretty short so we would have to come up with brackets to mount on either end. (I dont want to weld them on) There are two lift holes on top of the SC and the shock bolts are right there on the fender. I saw someone here with engine tie downs connected at those points. Not sure if the shock mount is the best place to achor to. Anyone want to comment?

i had a torque damper on my last car and it helped, when it was adjusted properly. but it will work its way out of adjustment periodically, so its kind of a hassle. i think poly motor mounts might be the better solution.

they had some bigger ones on ebay.

weapon-r sells a nice one, they may make you custom brackets if you send them the measurements. i know they make custom cai's if you tell them what you need.

Photoman,
Thanks. I was going to do a little surfing tonight. I can probably manage the bracket part.

Photoman,
That Stiffy looks pretty darn nice. They are pretty darn proud of it too at that price. I couldnt find any specs on it though. Posted the question to them.

Once I find the right shock I can figure out how to mount. for the engine side I would make a bracket to bolt onto the two lift points on top of the SC with an arm over towards the shock bolt on the drivers or passengers fender. Just thinking out loud.
