Default BrianB... your brackets are done

Brian & Voyager,
Here is a pic of your SL55 brackets. I will wrap them up and get them out to you via USPS. Please PM me your addresses as I cant seem to find them. I know they're hiding in my computer somewhere!
These should set the air boxes just about at the factory points for hight. The front ones came out so good for alignment I may have to make me a new set. I tapped all the holes to 10-24 to make it easy. The front ones just slide right into one side of the existing bracket after you pull the clip off. You will have to do your own drilling. Just snap the clip onto the new bracket. It should be pretty snug and WONT come off easily. Have fun.

Thanks Mike - those look trick!! So much better then the off-the-shelf flat stock brackets I used.

Now you are in line for reduced price on the next mod I’m designing. I hope it comes out as nice as the mock up..

PM Sent....

Mike - I got the brackets in the mail today and installed them. Very nice work. I must say they look very trick, clean and professional. Much better then the flat stock I used before.

I also think they provided me with a solution for mounting the engine cover once I get around to extending it and making it fit snug like the stock set up...

Here are some pics. The first picture is how it was.

Let me say again -- Thank-You

You can mount the engine cover flush using the SL55 air boxes like I did.

The engine cover mounts no problem, I plan on reshaping the cover and extend the ends and the width to fit neatly with the airboxes.

Brian,
Glad you like them and they work as well as I planned. I am making myself a new pair of front ones now. I cant look at my first edition ones now without being jealous.
