Default Looking for a spare belt for the SRT

Who has a lead on a supplier and part number for the SRT-6 Belt.

I have seen and REJECT the gatorback goodyear belt from autozone and it was the limited 6 groove belt anyway. If I have a spare, I won't need it you know.

Please include a part number and contact info for the supplier also, THanks

Woody, Enjoy

MB part number is 112 997 00 92 – I don’t know nothing ‘bout them fancy Chryslers.

ContiTech is an OE supplier.

Two trusted vendors I’ve purchased from:

http://www.importedcarparts.com

http://www.pelicanparts.com

Their prices vary. It’s invariably less for cash and carry.

No dice, they dont have it and dont list the supercharged 3.2 motor. This is getting difficult. Autozone had a belt, only 6 ribs.........

Woody, here is the only one I could find. The rest were 94.1 for the NA.

Yes, that would be wrong. It is only 94.1" long. The SRT belt is 114.5" long. I found a couple of sites listing that 94" belt for the SRT.

... A dealer???

If they cost $100+ it's worth having a good OEM one. You should only have to change it every few years anyway.

German Auto Parts has two to choose from

http://www.germanautoparts.com/beta/...2/9310/5874542

Contitech ($61.20) & Gates ($53.04)

Both part numbers suggest a length of 2902, which I assume is millimeters, and if it is, it converts to 114.25 inches.

_______________

And, googling the part number from GermanAutoParts ( 8K X 2902 ) brings up another few sources, but I've never dealt with them.

Least expensive with shipping that I could find is:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...a=PR64-K081145

Like 54 bucks shipped.

Found that my belt is missiing one complete rib!

Also found out that ALL of the retail autoparts stores list the 94 inch belt for both the NA and SRT models!!!! FAIL!!!

Summit Racing has the Goodyear Gaterback for the SRT @ $52.99.
The cross grooves help to disipate heat more so than allow for tight curves as I have heard on line when regarding fittment for the code 3 smaller pullies.
Heat is the First and foremost problem when it comes to belt failure.
I just paid $104.21 for a belt I was in true need of from the Chrysler Stealer.

Woody, I got a new Gatorback from Summit and it looks fine. I got a longer one to try as my factory is very tight. VERY little play when I put it on. The new belt is 115.3 inches long. This is an 8 rib belt. I will do a test fit today. I can do a test in park by I cant drive as I have the console all torn out right now. I am hoping the .8 inch difference isnt too long. I couldnt find one that was only 115 inches long. By the way, this belt was $18 cheaper than the factory length.

I figured it wouldnt hurt to try this new one. I dont like having so little play in the tensioner with the factory belt on the 181mm pulley. In my looking I didnt find a non-Gator 115" belt. I expect that I can find one if I look around more and use the K408115x number. For $35 it is worth trying.
