Talking Re: Looking for a spare belt for the SRT

I just got the belt from Rockway # K081145 by Gates who I trust. Now mine (stock) should last for a while. 115.3" long.
Woody, enjoy.

Which serpentine belt are people going with these days? I'd like to have one in my hand by Wednesday at the earliest. What are the thoughts on the
Gatorback Gatorback
? It looks like the OEM belt has ribs that run in line with the belt whereas the GB has perpendicular ones...does that negatively affect performance? I'll have CAI, 65mm pulley and tune for what that matters.

I would NEVER recommend a goodyear (Gaterback) belt for ANY application. Time and again in applications that test the quality of a belt, gaterbacks fall way short compared to GATES and Dayco. I recall once talking to an application engineer at goodyear asking what the minimum bend radius was on a particular belt that was failing on a supercharged miata application .... his answer still shocks me to this day "we don't have a spec for that" wow ... are they in the wrong business or what?

The belt that ROB (needswings) linked to above is your best bet ... and he has it available at a what is likely the best price you will find. I would suggest you buy it from Needswings and take a look at the rest if his Crossfire items as well as he is trusted resource that you will surely want to do a lot of business with.

Cheers,
Chris

Great advice. I'm going to pull it off tomorrow. I'm ordering a CAI from him as soon as I get paid so I'll tack that on.
