Passenger side - in front of the front wheel, behind inner fender well - outside edge of radiator.

Yep it's the needswings intake and crank pulleys. By the way after a few months even that power seems lacking. That's the curse of always wanting just a little more power.

There is no extra power from the Big Johnson unit or any other cooling mods you add. If you see Vadim's (from VRP) graph on the mb forum it shows the negative of having too much flow.

The lightning pump is a twin to the factory SRT pump.
You just need to switch tops to get the right hose outlet diameters and the wire connector is brand specific and will need to be modified -simple stake on connectors will work (I added wire so I could save the factory connector and soldered the wires to the pump. Then used gasket silicone to fill the socket for a water-tight connection)

I need to replace my IC Pump. Which is the better pump to go with the Johnson or Ford Lightning?

Going to a Ford part on our SRTs in kinda Blasphemy Where as the Johnson pump sounds like a specialty company that builds pumps for very special applications and special cars...
I like the design of the Johnson pump myself.

Yes x2. It's a bosch part not a Ford part. Heck why does it matter? Remember it's a chrysler. LOL. Mine is working fine and I gained 40hp . At least there isn't a johnson faster than mine. Way to resurrect from the dead thread zone.

Disconnected the electrical supply from it completely the other day and drove around all day, noticed no difference in acceleration at *ALL*, so I'm assuming it's done for.

Also someone suggested it coule be responsible for lurches when cruising too, which its been doing more now and at lower speeds, like 30-40mph all of a sudden Ill lurch forward all of a sudden for just a second. This is not the same as the tiny lurch I was talking about in another thread when just taking off, but this one is when actually cruising.

Anyway, I guess I'll be getting a johnson pump eventually or a Ford Lightning SVT unit and adapt it on the cheap.
I am also having the lurches when cruising. I took it in to the dealer but they couldn't find the problem because their not a computer light or code. Sure wish I could find the problem be it's the pits. Drove all the way to and back for W.W last week end with this happening.
Ask the need wings mech. about it but he didn't no.

the thing most dont realize with the bosch i/c pump isnt will it fail but WHEN will it fail! its junk whether its on a mercedes or x/fire or ford lightning. get a cm30 and replace it. if it hasnt failed yet its only a matter of time
