Speed Sensitive Wipers? For real? I didn't know that. Course it rarely rains here.

PM'd ya also.
Yes they are speed sensitive-- But probably not in the way that most of us think.
If you have the wipers fully on and come to a stop the wipers slow down to the single 'intermittent' speed until you start up again.

Exclamation Re: Selling My Crossfire Srt-6

I had someone come by to see the car but the guy only had 14k to spend so that was a waste of my time, he came he drove it said he was going to think about it, next day he offered 14k, so now I'm going to take new high quality photos of the car, and relist
If anyone here has interest 15999 is upfront lowest price

Thank you

The three rules of selling cars on Ebay…

1) $100 Starting Bid / No Reserve

2) 24 Great Pictures > 100 Adjectives

3) People pay for a great story… and pay even more for exclusivity.

Most likely because it has a "record" (i.e. being rear-ended).

I can show the rear end damage...its nothing...it has a few scratches that cant even be seen from 6 feet away...the only thing is that you know its there, the girl who hit me was going 10mph coming to a red light didnt see me and hit me...I mean its not like a frontal collision or something that requires 1000s to fix I was quoted at 500 bucks

Post Re: Selling My Crossfire Srt-6

hey guys need your help I got someone who wants to buy my car but i dont know what to reply to this email please help me out....

read and reply thanks

i need to get 16k and i think its a reasonable price but i need some help with what to email this guy...so he will move up from the 14k800 offered...

thanks in advance

Hi Gabriel,

I've considered raising my offer from $13,800 to $14,800 conditional upon an independent inspection which we could do locally in N.H. I have cash, so we could close a deal fairly quickly.

That said, I think the challenge we face is that I know you'd like to get at least what you owe on the car. The issue is that the car has depreciated faster in value than the pay down of the principal on your loan. If I were to pay you the price of your note then I would be absorbing part of the depreciation that occured during the time you owned the car and I'm not prepared to do that especially in this market.

At the end of the day, I'm only willing to pay what I think I could sell it for tomorrow (market value), which I believe is lower than the value of your loan. These cars haven't held their value very well as you know (even though they are nice cars) from your own experience when you purchased the car, vs. the sticker price on it when it was new.

I arrived at $15,000 as follows. The Nada (NADA.com) on the car is $16,800 sold Retail "Clean", that's a dealer price though not a private party price. The deductions off of $16,800 are as follows: I did get a lower price on the bumper, $750, from a local Chrysler Body shop, and $500 to paint the hood (chips, apparently rib hoods are a little more work), and $300 for new front right wheel. Throw in $250 to straighten out the exhaust (a guess). I'm taking off a nominal $200 as the car comes with no 90 warranty as i would get from a dealer. That takes it down from $16800 to $14800.

Keep in mind this is still retail I'm talking here which suggest I'm paying a premium as you're a private party seller. You're not a dealer, so you are not in a position to offer me a free 90 day warranty so I'm assuming that risk which I will attempt to mitigate with the independent inspection which will cost me about $150.

What does $1,200 mean to you? In terms of the time-value-of-money?

I guess $1200 is everything if it means the difference between paying off the car & selling it or not. No $1200 = No Title = No Sale.

Meet him half-way and offer a little something to sweeten the deal - he want's the car - perhaps an oil change, detail, etc... Is he going to pay for the inspection?

How much are your payments per month if he backs out?
How much longer can you wait?
Is $1,200 impossible to come up with? (don't pull it from a CC)
Can you bargin the payoff amount with the lean holder?

Just some ideas

I will offer the car for 15800, oil change and detail...he pays for inspection.
I pay 366 a month, I can afford it, no problem, I can wait until end of june, but if i dont sell it this month i have to register that car again and its 350 and inspection another 50...the reason why i wanted to sell for at least 16k is because thats what i owe on it and because i just spent over 800 on tires and over 180 on brakes...and he knows it...i will try to contact chrysler financial and see what they say...thanks i will keep you posted
