Default JR Industries Gauges

The mock up gauges are done, no thanks to me but most in part because of my partner RC, what can I say he definitely an asset to the team. Feel free to thank him.

Anyway, I AM GOING TO GET THIS OUT OF THE WAY RIGHT AWAY, THIS IS NOT HOW THE GAUGES WILL BE MADE, this is simply a decal overlay, to see how they would kind of look. The finished product will be made out of High impact plastic, it will be CNC'd out and screen printed. Of coarse this is not nearly as cheap as the decal route but it is IMO the right way and only way to do it. There will eventually be 11 gauge choices (a/f, boost, fuel), There will be two types of gauges AEM, and then a cheaper non wide band route. There will also be gauges for the N/A and the SRT6. The N/A gauges will say CROSSFIRE in crossfire lettering, where it now says SRT6. hope you guys enjoy, we will have pricing later this week along with taking orders.

Side note these were taken with my iphone, I was going to take some good ones but I couldn't wait, they're a little blurry.

We are shooting for a very fair mark I would say ballpark $300 to $400 for 3 gauges, If you want to go aem, we may just sell the overlays, The cheapest AEM gauge I found was $170 lol and it is the clock. It all comes down to what you want be able to do and read with your gauges. I had no Idea until I searched that you can spend about $800 for 3 wide band gauges. The AEM are easy enough to put together yourself, where as these take a lot of work. These do the same job, you just cant plug your computer into them and tune your engine off of the information.

I love the guages Jonny, but as people pointed out, if I want accurate readings I should go wideband. The problem I have is, I just don't feel like shelling out 800 for 3 gauges that don't look as good!! I don't know what to do now. I guess my next question is, how accurate are narrowband gauges? I'm not going to do on board tuning to the car. I am just going to add mods, dyno/tune it and go. Do i really need wideband?? I'll also point out that I do have datalogging capabilities with my scanner. So if I was having any issues I could plug that in.

The gauges look great. I don't think I really need wide band but I am more concerned about the look and the quality. As long as it doesn't look cheap, I'm in.

I wouldn't recomend the datalogging wiith a scanner, as it's impossible to tune with, scanners can't feed you the information fast enough to be useful, as the motor could run lean in some parts of the powerband while at that exact time the scanner is transmitting old information and skips the lean spot.

The difference between narrowband and wideband for your application is just overkill. With the datalogging scanner, you would want to get a sensor that had both wideband and narrow with two seperate pigtails. The accuracy of the gauges would be good enough for the average person. As far as gauges go, you get what you pay for. If you want them to be spot on to the closest numerical value, you go with top of the line gauges and pay 3-4 times what you'd pay for these. In my opinion, these will give you accurate information for what you really need in a package that is an exact match for the factory gauges.

They will not be cheaply contructed and will look everybit a peice of original equipment as we can possibly get them.

The JR Industries is our company brand, like AEM or AutoMeter. It's not that we want to make them look tacky and if people think the branding looks that way, we can adjust the size to something less obtrusive. Remember, these are a rough design and just something to work with and figure our what we want the final design to be.

Now for some input from everyone. What gauges would everyone like to see made?

Thanks for all the positive comments and keep the questions coming.

Johnny / RC, the gauges look very good. I would really like the A/F gauge to have number values and not just rich to lean. Then a boost/vaccume, IAT, oil pressure, water temp. I am okay with the JR Industries as that is your logo and you guys deserve to get the advertising and recognition. Maybe a little smaller might be good, but I could live with it. How close would the AEM look to the less exspensive gauge? I might think of mixing them to get the wideband for A/F and narrow for Boost and IAT. Thanks again for all the effort.

That's exactly my thinking mike. I am thinking of running the A/F wideband and the boost and IAT narrowband. I just want the gauges to all be the same. That's where my problem lies.

These renderings are just an approximation of what they will look like but they are pretty accurate as far as the general layout.
