I still spin the tires even when I have my Hoosiers mounted on the car. 1600 rpms has been the highest I can go without spinning. My best 60' with the 275/40 17 Hoosiers was a 1.83 on a 1600rpm launch and with 16psi in the tires and a 95* track temp.

I'll have to wait till next week, at least, to try running with the TC off. I just sent the ECU down to LET for tuning. If they can get it back to me by Wednesday I can run Thursday night at Woodburn or Friday at Portland International. I sure would like to have some gas better than 92 octane to go with it.

If you guys keep talking tough, I'm gonna bring my 2008 Smart Car with 71hp! And put something on ya! LOL

(I'm kidding, I can't believe I even bought one but I did, I'm gonna flip it on ebay hopefully! I look forward to seeing you guys at the track this fall!)

You car looks sick I'm going to mount the whites out next time. Little funny car it turns into. Sorry in my first post I meant to leave the TC off.
photoman- track prep has alot to due with getting it to stick. I'm not talking about not being able to spin the tires, I'm talking about on a strong launch within a split second your foot should be on the floor and the tires don't make a sound just gone. If you have great track prep you will actual hear the VHT (track sticky glue) stick to your tires as you roll out of the water box.

Ok, officially looking for a car to rent for this weekend. I'm wiling to send my mods up and install when I get there. This is better than going to the ET Finals in fallon, nv. Anyone own a transport?

Other Event Notes:

All day test session from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. All MIR Test & Tunes have a free $1,000 to win Gambler’s race. The Gambler’s race will be pro-rated if less than 64 cars. We will be calling cars to the lanes by E.T. breaks with one run per session. This will prevent you from having to stand in the staging lanes all day to get your runs. Anyone who runs first round of the Gamblers race will not be permitted to make any additional time runs. This allows those who did not run the $1,000 to win gamblers race an opportunity to get a couple more runs in before the end of the day.

You made the ET Finals with the 6 eh?? Nice job!! I haven't raced points this past year(taking a break), but for the last 12 seasons I have qualified for the finals and its one of the funnest events to go to! It's a huge 3 day event of nothing but drinking, playing cards, practice tree parties and of course racing!!

Hey if you guys are interested we could all chip in a few $ and have some trophys made for 1st, 2nd and 3rd fastest times. I think that would make it really fun if we did that. You can get really nice trophies made at trophydepot.com cheap.

I didn't make the race of champions, I'll get there next year when I run a full season. Just the team race part, but I get a chance at the gambler race the day before. Still up in the air whether I'm going. 15 hours away, not sure I want to tow or drive.

Why don't you guys set up to run at this race.

You can do grudge matches against each other. Plus you might get on TV.

Oh man, the ROC is killer!!! I was Atco's representitive in 97' for Street and 03' in Pro and had a great time! I semi'd there in 2002 with the Cuda. I almost got the trip to Pomona, but not quite! Yeah, 15 hours is crazy!! Have you ever been to the Finals? If you haven't, I would go.

Not as a driver. I usually drive to Pomona each year for the world finals. I'm going to try and make it. The elevation in Fallon, NV is like 4300' feet so no fast times but I'll adjust. The ET finals next year is here in my backyard, so that will be fun. Team races should be crazy too. Congrats on a semi, that's huge. Most guys don't know what we are talking about, but that's takes a hell of a car and some great driving.

Haha, Thanks. Yeah, the car was running good and I was hitting the tree and driving the stripe pretty well. I actually raced a friend and teamate at 3 cars and he put a .017 package on me which I couldn't get in on. Thats racin! I know, it seems you and I are the only hardcore bracket racers here! 4300ft?! You may go 14.0! LoL :P

14.0 if I'm running with a breeze and some taco bell to boot. Shoot an .017 package is hard to beat anytime unless your running super pro. Dang monsoon storm hit tonight, canceled my friday night bracket fun. Wanted some practice before the last team race. Oh well.

The only MAF "issue" you have is that the car does not run one. The SRT uses a MAP sensor not MAF.
