Wow that is scary, maybe try changing the fluid and if you are lucky that will help. My old car would slip when the transmission fluid was dirty (30,000 miles old) and when I would change the fluid it would shift perfectly again.

I am also sure that I saw someone here has put 285/35's on stock 19 inch wheels. The tire shop didnt enjoy it but they got them on and he was happy. I am debating the 275 vs 285 for when I need to replace mine.

What was your 60' times? I always turn my TC off but I will give it a shot with it on to see how it goes. I forgot to turn it off once to do a little burnout in the waterbox (can not drive around it) and the car cut out big time when the traction control kicked in so I figured it would do that if I launched with it on.

I had the PS2's on the OEM SRT wheels before I got the aftermarket wheels and they fit okay, but that's a PS2 they have a rounder edge where the tread starts. I had a pair of 285/35/19 Goodyear F1 runflats on the back of my 04 coupe, they fit but the tread stuck out farther than the edge of the wheel ( rule of thumb - tread not to stick out farther than the wheel) . The Goodyears have a more square edge where the tread starts and are actually 3/4" wider than a Michelin PS2. In the first pic, left is the Goodyear 285/35, center OEM PS2 255/35 and on the car is the 285/35 PS2. The second pic is Goodyear on the left & PS2 on the car and they are both 285/35/19.

Keep me in mind for that fall Maryland pulley shoot out. I've got a Code3 pulley, and should have the bugs worked out by then. (No bugs with the pulley - I think I've got a MAF issue)

MikeR:
Try a few runs with the TC off. After you learn to launch without a total burn out, you'll be amazed how much time you can trim off of your ET's by not using the TC.

Hoosiers will hold the track the best. No need to turn the TC off with these. You won't lose traction even with a small burnout. These are drag radials not slicks, just to be clear. Just the best DR you can get in my opinion. M/T tire, and Mickey Thompson may argue that.

We could bill this as the first ever SRT-6 get together!

I even have a title for the video: "That's how we roll." LOL

Agreed, no traction issues with my new hoosiers. Now Ijust need to get back to the track with the new mods and see what she can lay down.

your best 60' with the hoosiers is 1.94? i would have thought it would have you in the 1.7's.

what size/brand/offset are your wheels?

That was before the hoosiers and my current mods. I had some wore out used ET streets that wouldn't hook for nothing when I ran the 12.8.
