I am extremely revealed to hear that it is common.

I wonder if my "secondary air sensor" check engine light on has anything to do with it?

PS. I figured the tanker was only filling up regular gas, as they dont reload the Premium as often - I will certainly NOT be filling up the next time I see a gasoline tanker!

Funny you should mention that. I have the same code on my coupe, but get the same smell on both (especially noticeable in roadster with the top down).

Its still in open loop and maybe its just dumping extra gas. I put in 93 shell V-power here, its the 15% eth crap too =/. Once its warmed up i never notice the smell though.

Kind of funny. I always get premium at Kroger or Valero -- and I always run it HARD down one stretch of road.

Today, I was almost out and had no choice but to get 93 at Shell. I got to that road and as I came to a stop at the end of it, it smelled like satan's ******* for the next mile or so. Coincidence?

Tried Shell 93 weekend before last and compared to a major private grocer's 92 the car performed slightly but significantly better. And no 'rotten eggs'
