Default Engine cover emblem

It appears those with the SRT6 engine covers have some type of colored Chrysler emblem on the front of it. My Limited just has the logo embossed into the cover.

I am getting ready to paint my Limited engine cover and was wondering if the SRT6 Chrylsler emblem would fit over top of my embossed emblem? Anyone have both models to compare sizes? Can this emblem be purchased at Chrysler or from someone online?

Any information or advice would be appreciated. How about a close-up pic of the emblem?

I am not good enough to hand paint mine. Here is an example I found in the gallery.

Does the SRT6 cover look like it has an applied emblem? Can someone give me a measurement on the width and height? If the demensions match mine, I will try to order one from Chrysler.

Thanks Mutt, but I don't need the whole cover

James, the emblem is a metal piece that is held on by tabs that stick through the cover and then are bent back. The emblem measures 7" from tip to tip and 1.25" tall at the center. The Chrysler logo in the middle is 1" wide, side to side.

James, I just compared the emblem on our SRT-6 with the one on the limited. The one on the SRT-6 is applied and is the same size as the limited. Both are about 7" wide. I don't know if the applied emblem can be put over the limited embossed emblem because I don't want to peal it off.

I hope that helps.

Dan & MikeR, Thanks for your reply. That helps me alot. I am calling Dodge tomorrow and see if my buddy can order one for the SRT6. If not too expensive, I will take a chance and try to make it fit.

Thanks again guys... James

Please let me know what he says James. I'm about to do a mod to the limited's engine cover and would be interested in buying the emblem for it.

Dan, I called Dodge today and my buddy looked into it. He even made a few calls. The emblem can only be purchased with a new SRT6 cover, not seperate.

$1.00 plus $60.00 shipping (per letter) - just kidding - I saw that add on ebay

You both can have them for free - I've had so many members help me and I have yet to sell anything or to take a dime from a forum member.

PM me and I will set you both up...

This isn't a $2.00 thing for postage is it?

Sorry I couldn't resist. LOL

Good going Brian. That is the way things should be. Ask Golfergal. I had a passenger mirror that I sent her FedEx for free.
