Yep, because right after I saw the light, I hit the gas and the steering wheel was not locked. I guess I should have put that together.

There is a black coupe on Ebay now. 9000 miles for 21,000. That's a great deal.

I can't believe it! They are going to repair my old car! $6,948 of damage for an '03 and they are still repairing. Here's what it looks like:

Oh, well. I guess it's not so urgent now. Thanks for all the help, this is a great community to be a part of. I'm sure I'll be an owner soon, just not as soon as I thought.

That looks like a lot more than $7k worth of damage. Being a former bodyshop employee, I have seen MUCH better looking cars get totalled.

Are they going to use a USED rear section from another car and splice it in? There really isn't any other option. They can't pull that straight, and they surely don't sell a complete back half. That car will be 'pieced' together, and I would fight against having it fixed if I was you.

Just my opinion...but it looks pretty tweaked from the pics.
