Default how hard to switch from coupe to convertible

I bought my SRT-6 last year and now i'm thinking i should have bought a convertible. I live in Massachusetts and use the car basically year round. Is it the same ride? Also how much would you think i would have to pay to get into a convetible? Mine only has 13,000 miles. Or do you think i would regret switching into a convertible srt-6

I went from a cpe. to a roadster and love it. I don't use mine in the winter though. You would probably lose to much money now anyway. Unless you could find someone to buy your's outright.
Have you checked out the New England section and the upcoming ride next weekend?

Nothing says performance, top end and handling like a coupe. I feel in love with the first crossfire I saw and it was a roadster I saved and when I went to purchase I HAD to go with the Coupe, for all the prestated attributes.
A roadster just doesn't make the statment that your serious!
Enjoy the Ride...

I have both an srt coupe and a roadster, The roadster will give you more headroom, a few inches more. Other than that they're basically the same car. The vert is a best most stylish convertible i've ever seen! But I love the way a coupe drives. It ultimately comes down to you! Best of luck!

The ride is a little softer in a roadster - just a little. The A/C & Heating work great, if you can live with a little less trunk space you won't regret it.

I'd prefer the coupe especially if I roll her over . Either one is great but at 6'2" and 250lbs I know for a fact the roadster is easier to get into. When I was shopping I wanted the convertable but my wife liked the coupe, being the coupe was 23,999 and had 40 miles on it and the convertable was 33,999 with 40 miles on it, I didn't even try to argue.

Huh? Okay, to the subject at hand:
I've driven both, mine, and a SRT6 Coupe. The Coupe was more quiet. The Roadster had more headroom.
Other than that, I couldn't tell a difference.
They are both great cars.
I'd like to have a Coupe in addition to the Roadster.
I enjoy dropping the top, having a vert was key to my purchase.
You might want to find a Roadster, drive it, and see if it is worth making the switch. Good luck.

Go Go Go for the vert if you have a chance. I have my top down even when it's cold. Between the heater and heated seats that will literally burn your buns you stay warm! Course, I live in Texas so you might not have as much time going topless but with the the top up, the ride is quiet. This is one car that looks great no matter what.

I've given this some thought too. I think I would stick with the coupe and buy a base convertible if I had the means. As much as people want to argue, the coupe form lends itself better to a performance vehicle. I'll take the big engine in the more solid and lighter car.

stick with the coupe! Just personal preference. Especially in Mass. it seems like you are just asking to experience problems with a convertible top, no matter how reliable.

Thumbs up Re: how hard to switch from coupe to convertible

Get a Ltd Roadster & add it to the Stable, if you can.
Enjoy the Best of Both Worlds!

(I've had & loved them all, {4} Xfires: Roadsters, Coupe, Ltd & SRT6's).

BTW Switched from a '05 Ltd Roadster 4K, to a '05 SRT6 Roadster 7K for less than $5,000 (7/07)

As others have stated, you will most likely lose money right now. You could find a base roadster with a bit of miles for a little more than what you would lose doing the switch. You'd have two xfires!

guys thanks for the advice. I like the idea of two cars, but i'm a college student, so that's probably out of the question. I think i will wait it out.

hey crossfirefun, when and where is that ride next weekend. i don't see anything in the new england section.

The Roadster has more head-room. I'm 6'3 250.. After about a couple hours of driving, my legs cramp up! It's such a sweet car! I'll deal with it!
