Default Current market value?

I've had my SRT6 for almost a year and absolutely love everything about it. But... things have changed (location, job, etc). It's still an excellent condition car with no issues at all and has 17K miles on her (in service date of March 2007).

So, is the market still a bit strong for selling these cars? KBB says $20,605 for a private party sale, is that realistic?

Thanks in advance

Not sure about private party, but don't even think about taking it to Carmax. I almost kicked the guy in the nuts when they offered me $15,500 for my SRT (in perfect condition) w/ 17K miles on it...

No, I've seen how they work lol This car will be a "For Sale by Owner" only!

Here's a pic from the New Smyrna CTC

Not really far off for a trade in offer (wholesale) NOT the way to sell a car if you can avoid it.
&*%$* Dealers.

You're right about the dealers but KBB says $17,125 as an average trade-in for an excellent example. Fortunately I don't need to help them make a lot of money on my car

KBB is almost always higher than what a dealer will "actually" offer.

Sell it to someone on these forums it shouldnt take long.

Edmunds, with their "True Market Value", was even more generous.

I'll list it here first and see how it goes.

I paid $17,495 for mine with 30,000 miles 6 weeks ago. I've got nav and new continentals on mine. That should give you an idea of what to expect.

Wow, I haven't even listed it yet

Actually, based on all of the research I've done on the past two days I had planned on "asking" $21,999.

Just bought a SRT coupe one owner (with mature driver)with a perfect past history (no MFG auction, lease, etc) which had 6800 miles. $$19500. The car was MINT. From doing a LOT of research and looking buying from a dealer will be in the 21K range and slgihtly less from a individual.

That's cool and if you're like those of us who need a black one then hopefully your's will come up local. I had to fly to north of Chicago from the FLA panhandle for mine. But hey, the break-in miles were on the trip back and it's was a great road trip too!

I listed my SSB SRT6 a couple of days ago in the for sale section for $22,500. Looks like I might have to drop it a couple of thousand after checking around some more. Good luck.

I have a few friends at dealershipa dn right now an SRT6 at auction is going for roughly 12k . Last week one called me on one he took as a trade with 15,000 miles and they gave the customer 9k for the trade. Sadly these cars are not holding their value at all.

I built mine out as a traveling company show vehicle and thought about selling it off to start a new project car but with 65k on it, all serviced and new tires on it this week the best offer so far is around 20k with all the extra goodies.

Auction and trade-in values are always doom and gloom, especially for those who need to unload (which ain't me), so I don't consider those at all. But thanks for the info.

I wonder how accurate this info is? http://www.pricehub.com/price/Chrysler/Crossfire#

Adjusting for my trade I just paid $16,000 for my '05 Aero blue coupe tonight with 24k miles 1 owner all original car. He had listed it for 19995 back in DECEMBER and had reduced it to 16995 by now. It's a very tough market for these cars.

The best idea to use for trade-in is Intelliprice.com, which is basically historical blackbook values.

As far as blackbook is concerned by the way, not sure where the guy's friend above is buying his cars (there are some really sh!tty auctions out there), but the blackbook value for our cars is 12,750-16,075. That means dealers SOMEWHERE are paying that much at auctions for poor to clean condition cars.

Do not fret, someone out there will buy it eventually, especially since it's not a firesale. Armed with your trade-in value, use autotrader to determine what OTHERS are on the market for in your area, then price accordingly somewhere in the middle. The difference between you and the guy who took 9k for his, is you're not an idiot
