Current market value?
Current market value?
I've had my SRT6 for almost a year and absolutely love everything about it. But... things have changed (location, job, etc). It's still an excellent condition car with no issues at all and has 17K miles on her (in service date of March 2007).
So, is the market still a bit strong for selling these cars? KBB says $20,605 for a private party sale, is that realistic?
Thanks in advance

Sell it to someone on these forums it shouldnt take long.

I'll list it here first and see how it goes.

Actually, based on all of the research I've done on the past two days I had planned on "asking" $21,999.
Re: Current market value?
Just bought a SRT coupe one owner (with mature driver)with a perfect past history (no MFG auction, lease, etc) which had 6800 miles. $$19500. The car was MINT. From doing a LOT of research and looking buying from a dealer will be in the 21K range and slgihtly less from a individual.
Re: Current market value?
I have a few friends at dealershipa dn right now an SRT6 at auction is going for roughly 12k . Last week one called me on one he took as a trade with 15,000 miles and they gave the customer 9k for the trade. Sadly these cars are not holding their value at all.
I built mine out as a traveling company show vehicle and thought about selling it off to start a new project car but with 65k on it, all serviced and new tires on it this week the best offer so far is around 20k with all the extra goodies.

Re: Current market value?
Adjusting for my trade I just paid $16,000 for my '05 Aero blue coupe tonight with 24k miles 1 owner all original car. He had listed it for 19995 back in DECEMBER and had reduced it to 16995 by now. It's a very tough market for these cars.
The best idea to use for trade-in is Intelliprice.com, which is basically historical blackbook values.
As far as blackbook is concerned by the way, not sure where the guy's friend above is buying his cars (there are some really sh!tty auctions out there), but the blackbook value for our cars is 12,750-16,075. That means dealers SOMEWHERE are paying that much at auctions for poor to clean condition cars.
Do not fret, someone out there will buy it eventually, especially since it's not a firesale. Armed with your trade-in value, use autotrader to determine what OTHERS are on the market for in your area, then price accordingly somewhere in the middle. The difference between you and the guy who took 9k for his, is you're not an idiot
