it is a piece of cake to do, just get a $15 caliper paint kit and really clean them good so the paint will stick.

I have not painted my XF calipers yet but I have painted the ones on my RX7. Just disassemble them and clean them thouroughly. Then use a high temperature pant reassemble and viola.

Any AutoZone or equiv. will carry a Duplicolor kit in a few basic colors for~ $16. If you go to Duplicolor's website, there are videos for technique.

http://www.duplicolor.com/products/caliper.html

Or, as was stated, any high-temp enamel can be used and there are more colors available.

If you want to use a rattle can, be prepared to cover the WHOLE CAR with a tarp, and tape off anything you don't want overspray to ruin. This includes the rotors and the wheels and tires sitting 3 feet away!

I used CRC Brake cleaner and a couple of old toothbrushes to cleanthe calipers before I started. If you are working over a painted floor, the brake cleaner will make a heckuva' mess. Use a dropcloth there too.

Good luck!

if you use a brush on caliper paint kit it takes around 1 hour to do all the calipers and the only thing you need to do is take off the wheels and clean the calipers. super easy.

I want to do mine in bronze/gold like the Brembos on the 300 SRT-8, but I can't locate a brush on kit that color and I don't really want to take everything apart.

Anyone know where I might find one this color?

SRT-8 300's are painted silver............I bought my caliper paint(for another car) from Eastwood.com a while back.
