Rasim...First off salam alaykum

Second off there really is no difference between the cars in speed or performance. That lost HP is pretty much incorrect.

Are you sure about this? I thought the true hp rating for the SRT was 346 bhp

First: Welcome to Rasim! Congrats on your new car. Talk about unique: the only one in the country!!

I've seen a lot of posts on this very subject. The engines are the same between the SLK 32 AMG and the SRT-6. The ONLY difference that I have even read about is someone mentioned that the SLK had larger injectors. I can't confirm or deny this.

But one thing is certain, the SRT-6 and SLK 32 AMG run so close in the 1/4 mile times that they may as well be the same car. So it is incredibly likely that there are no differences in horsepower between the two cars.

i thought it was a "the Chrysler can't have more HP than the Mercedes" play on the numbers, kinda like GM wouldn't allow another one of their cars to have more HP than a Vette.

Exactly. GM killed or held back alot of great cars to keep the Vette king.

2 prime examples of this were the Camaro and TransAm. Vette performance for less than half the price.

Neither the AMG 32 or the SRT-6 was rated using the new SAE testing procedure, if they were I would bet both cars numbers would fall a bit.

Some manufacturers went up...guess it depends on how the testing was done originally.

Thank you all to get me in ) as i understud you think SRT-6 was not reduced to 330 hp and it has all the same with slk32 that has 354 or how you whould say 349 hp, so there is no difference in ecu and all pulleys are the same hm interesting, ), what does dyno test think about it, does it confirm 330 or 349 hp?. you know all i want to do is get 1/4 for less than 13 c. now i do betwin 13.33 and 13.35 but not long time ago i did chip tuning as i was told in upsolute +34 hp and it gives my just 0.15 c to 1/4 i think it was not good my best with it was 13.2 (i got g-timer from Canada all my results i get from it by the way) my best speed with chip was 180 км/h worse in stock 174 км/h

Rasim,

With just an intake many members have hit 12.7-12.9 with traps speeds varying from 107-111. I am pretty sure stock they can hit twelves with a good launch and cold air!

I even think high 11's are poss with a pulley kit.

Hate to stir things up but which pulley?

Back to the subject my car dynoed at 292 rwhp - it is all stock with the exception of K & N filters. Which means that it's making 355 to the wheels 355-349= 6... 6HP from the K&N's sounds about right to me.

So I'm convinced only difference between SRT6 & SLK32 AMG is the rear suspention.

thanks. this site is like www.cars.com where you are selling or buying cars. i just put it for 42 000$ when i bought my SRT-6 for 32 000$ it has 20 000 mile run. if some one gives me 42 000 $ i will earn 11 000$ that is not bad.
