Give your crossfire a really good rest ! $10
I have found that the arm rest is not what it should be and it really can be too hard on your elbow while driving normally. Determined to improve this I did a bunch of tries and finally came up with one that I liked.
I needed a nice smooth gel pad that was color matched the car and found it at Staples office supply. It is a simple mouse pad that I cut the mouse surface off of and mounted it to the door where my elbow fits.
This is terribly comfy and under $10. Until you try this you might be tempted to POO poo the idea. EVERYONE TO TRY THIS LOVED IT. You can stick it there for a simple test without cutting the mouse part, just slip it on and see the difference. I finally used RTV to attach it when I was sure this is for me, I can pull it off some day and it wont slip about===shear strength issues.
I also added a wrist pad to the top of the console with an overhang of the door area 1" to rest on the console where the right elbow normally hits. Try it out and see if you dont agree this is something that the factory should do, make softer gel pads on these surfaces.
Check it out youll be very much suprised, Woody

HA! I already use that EXACT mousepad (from Staples) for support under my right leg at the front of the seat.
If you need a small lumbar correction you can get the matching keyboard wrist support and cut it to length for your back.
I attached everything with velcro to the seat so it can be easily removed.

"Jury rig, while similar sounding, has a slightly different meaning, emphasizing the temporary nature of the solution and can imply an ingenious solution done with materials at hand. Jerry-built, on the other hand, is often used for a permanent, but poorly built, construction and has no positive connotation."

You cold reach similar outcomes, but with a much higher standard of attention to detail. You could have attached a very inexpensive piece of diamond plate to the STUD and I'm sure there are better ways to make your arm more comfortable.

Dear Sir: CGOCIFIER
The foot peg can be removed with three screws without issue.
The door pad can also be removed without damage, it does work
The porting and polishing, phantom grip, and exhaust That I have done has netted 322 hp before the h/e and 181 pulley install with 1.90 60' on street tires, doing 8.15 shown on my gallery.
It is a car and if it needs to be upgraded to do better, like cutting the eibach springs until they sit correctly, then they get cut twice like Brian Brave sugggested, until the suspension sits right and level.
Its a car and I really enjoy it, sort of like the paint of the CAI to allow it to have a better look. When I finish doing the dress up to replace the air boxes so that the engine cover is restored to factory like appearance, then that will also be complete.
Part of enjoying a car is to have it your way, like Burger King says. I have only begun to do some mods that I will not be able to discuss.
If you don't like my changes, don't do them. The forum is for us to share our approach with others. My current redesign of the thermostat to allow a simple $10 part replacement so that you can change the operating temperature to anything that you like 160 - 174 - 180 will quite possibly wig you out. Stay tuned there are many changes coming.
My 440 six pack just got dynoed at 475 #ft of torque and yes I ported my brand new elderbrock heads before they were even installed to my ported factory cast iron headers. I do not have many tools besides a TIG and power drill, so I have to be innovative at times. That Challenger and the Crossfire or my Daytone have many innovative changes.......HOWEVER I DONT US DUCT TAPE, THANK YOU.
OBTW If you ever stood on diamond plate you would realize that it is not ideal for traction, sort of slippery. Also I lose the understanding and importance of $350 lighted door sill plates and shiny add ons that others like, as they add glare and cost without function. Different strokes for different folks.
Iam not getting prickley but if you were to even try the pad concept outfitted in your style, it is highly likely that you would also appreciate the benefits, like I stated in the beginning.
Ive been to the other side, and I am ready to go back, Enjoy yurself, life is shorter than you can guess. Woody

Well, Woody, I admire your inginuity, but I gotta agree with CGO. The interior of our cars (and the exterior) is a work of style and artistic design. To mar it with a mouse pad and some 2x4's is a crime.
But... to each his own. If it makes you happy, I'm happy for you. Enjoy your ride.

As I said before, I'm not bashing you, you have good intentions. I was just making a light hearted statement about those chosen "mods." Like Tom said, to each their own I suppose.

Re: Give your crossfire a really good rest ! $10
I made some nice padded arm rests for my srt6 using a pair of old socks filled with pudding. I stapled them to the door panels and I think it turned out nice. The pudding comes out a little where the staples are but it sure is comfy! Where the socks are old and dingy they are sort of gray now so they match the interior pretty well.
just picking a little, lol.

What kind of pudding?

I'm sure your mouse pad is comfortable, but seriously, it looks terrible. If you're going to keep it, at least do something about the raggedy edges.
On a related note, I've decided to cover my dash in hot pink faux fur. But I can't decide on whether to use the regular length, or the 2" long **** fur. What do you guys think?
