I purchased one of these little puppies - but I would swap it out for a interior matching pillar pod in heartbeat.

Ok guys,
Here is the deal......I have been busy with my new job so i haven't had a hell of a lot of time to do much with this, but basically it's not panning out the way I wanted it to. Long story short, I was misled with the information I received about the people who could possibly help out us out. After talking with my brother, I was under the impression that he knew someone personally that could make these happen. Not exactly the case now, but he is going to call the company that makes pillar pods for the GN's and T-Types(He is a GN guy). When i hear back, ill let you guys know. Also i have tried to contact a couple of other companies online like "Street Beat Customs" and i have yet to hear back from them! This had been a couple weeks ago, so.......I assume im not going to get any info from them. It's a little frustrating when you go to their site and see a pillar pod for the Chrysler PT Cruiser and NOT the crossfire??!! Then, they never return my e-mail? Ok...... I don't want to give up on this just yet, but does anyone have any input on this? I want a pillar pod made for this car!!

First off, LETS KICK YOUR BROTHERS @ss FOR MISSLEADING US! LOL (joke). Maybe we can appeal to one of our own ie. Needswings or LET to see if they could make one or have some connections to someone that can?

I was kicking around the idea of making one but don't really have the spare money for R&D. The way stuff started working on the MB forum with VRUS and VRP was people put some money together kinda as a down payment, someone works on the project till completion and then the people who supported it see a partial return on the investment.

In other words If a bunch of people want to go in on this we could get some money together as far as supplies go and I would charge nothing for my time. The money you put up in advance would go towards the finished product. So if you put up 50 dollars and the part cost 70 dollars you would pay the additional 20. Now depending on what these would really cost your investment might cover the whole thing. I will not charge anyone who puts money up front for my time, although if someone who didn't put money up front wanted one I will charge for the time and they will not get the extremely discounted price. I would be more then happy to create a fiberglass mold to start producing these. This could take up to a month but the finished product would be worth it to match the interior perfectly.

I'm really good with fiberglass but have not attempted anything like this, it should not be too hard though considering the parts. Just an idea let me know I have all summer with nothing to do. If you want to start this group buy kinda thing pm me. If there is enough interest we can take it to the rest of the forum. The first batch would a triple pillar pod, and then we can go from there. As far as matching the interior color, I think that would be left to you. I will ship the fiberglass piece ready for paint, again if there is enough interest we can figure out sanding and primer arrangements later.
